Question:

If I were to win this week's £92 million Euromillions Jackpot, one thing I wouldn't buy would be...?

...a luxury car. I really can't see any point in buying a car worth more than about £25,000, even if one could afford it. I would buy a luxury home, employ a gardener and a housekeeper but those are real luxuries. A car is just a means of getting from A to B. I'd be quite happy with a Ford Focus or Mondeo and if I really wanted just a bit more comfort, I might stretch to a Volvo.

If you were to win this £92 million jackpot or an equivalent amount ($166 million), what would you NOT buy that some people probably would? And what would you buy to improve your life?

  1. I wouldn't buy most things people would, i don't drive so wouldn't even buy a ford. I don't like sailing so wouldn't buy a boat, i wouldn'y buy a big mansion either, i'd be happier with an old farm house i could renivate with a load of land so i could have some animals but i wouldn't make it a working farm. They would be pet animals, i've always wanted a pet cow lol I wouldn'y buy big expensive jewellery, i actually prefer to make my own and i wouldn'y buy deisgner labels. I'm more then ahppy to shop in the same shops, eat in the same places (burger king) and live like i did already just richer with my own house rather then rented.

  2. Let me tell you you would not be happy with a Ford Mondeo not unless it was the top of the range Titanium. My Mondeo is the most uncomfortable car I have ever had. Compared to my old Saab it's like driving an old tractor...even the suspension on a tractor is better than a Mondeo. Think again.

I would buy a classic Morgan and live in a Georgian townhouse  with well sculptured gardens. And a place to have gazeebo and a lovely water garden with nymphs but not the shepherds. lol

  3. First of all, what you would be concentrating on "buying" would

be places to invest this money. If the payment is all at once,

then you would need to put this in a diversified portfolio concentrating

    the majority on safe investments.

If it is paid out of some kind of annuity, then there is a chance

that the payments could be cut off at some future time, so

investment would be even more paramount. Particularly considering

that in Europe, with its top down governmental structure, the

government could arbitrarily cancel those payments.

Remember that wealth isn't how much money you have, nor is

it how much money you make, it is how much money your

    money is making

  4. to actually have a genuine answer to that is really hard..the more you think about having that kind of money the more your completely in awe..its so much most people wouldnt even know where to start!

so, while i have thought about my answer..i doubt its actually what i'd do! its one of those..."you never know till your in that situation" kind of thing.

one thing i wouldnt buy for definate..is expensive food! especially jam..i have a thing about the really cheap stuff, its just the best!i'd also still buy 8p noodles haha. probably just so i could say.."look, im a multi-millionaire and i still buy 8p noodles"

what would i do to imprive my life?..i dont think there would be anything i could buy to actually improve it..just having financial security would improve it for me. obvoulsly i'd buy a really nice house..go on holiday etc. but i dont think that would really improve my day to day life per say. i'd do all the normal stuff like pay off my mums mortgage and my mother in laws debts too.

  5. I would not buy a boat.  I don't like deep water.

  6. I wouldn't buy Newcastle United Football Club.

  7. I always felt the same way. Why buy a car when you can live in a good home. You wanna live in your car? I always found it dumb to pay that much for something that will loose it's value in another year. A home can always be brought up in value. So to buy a 200,000 dollar car over a house is very stupid. Besides the car will start to suck in another 10 years.

If I won 92 million dollar jackpot I seriously would NOT know what to do with the money. There really isn't any material items that I ever wanted from my life since I was never greedy about anything. I definitely would NOT buy a stupid car though. I would walk up to my dad and ask him what I should get or if he wanted anything because I don't know.

I'd probably get another cat though :D

  8. love/another life since you can't buy love/another life

  9. I really do you think you would get a car, for most people, especially the people that would have your lifesytlye, a car would be a necessety, sorry i cant spell it... and it wouldn't matter if it loses value cos you still have another £92 million pounds, but i know what you mean it doesn't have to be flash and expensive

I'm not sure what i wouldn't buy that most people probably would, perhaps a motorbike...

  10. I agree with you on that.

A car loses its value as soon as you drive it away. I would never even buy a brand new car to be honest!

What else would i not buy.... erm.... i dont think there is anything else to be honest.

To improve my life, i would buy me a nice holiday!

  11. I wouldn't bother with the car either. Most likely would be keyed by a jealous person. Wouldn't bother buying designer clothes cos would still feel guilty. Would buy myself a large townhouse and get a housekeeper, a driver and a gardener too. Would be great. Would also get my shoes custom made cos can never find any that are 100% comfortable.
