Question:

If I wet the bed at a sleepover what do I tell my friend?

I wet the bed once in a while and I'm sleeping over my friend's house this weekend because my parents are away. It tends to happen when I'm sleeping somewhere other than my bed. We are sharing a bed, so what if I have an accident and get her and the bed wet? What do I say? I'm embarrassed because I'm in middle school. How can I deal with this.... I really don't want to tell her about my problem.

  1. you dreamed you were on the toliet and you thought you were man thats never happened to you before(this happened to me once i really did believe i was on the toliet it is really a realistic dream LOL

  2. LOOL

  3. One of the following- goodnites (like pullups but sizes go up to 125 lbs in the size large), depends underpants, or  Incontinence pads (like maxi pads but bigger and more absorbant) should do the trick all three should be available at the drug store, have your mom pick some up for you!

  4. Just dont drink anything for 2 hours before you sleep ands go to the restroom before you go to bed. if this wont work just take a sleeping bag.

tell her that you get upset when your parents leave and you want to sleep in a sleeping bag.

maybe you guys could have a mini party in the living room and make popcorn and watch movies.

  5. wear diapers (my best anwser...)

  6. You can explain your situation to her, but I can understand that may be a hard thing to do.

First of all, know that you are one of millions of kids with this problem.  Talk to you doctor.  There are medications that can help that you can take for situations like this.  If you don't want to take medicine look into goodnight pullups - they have a style that look like pink boxer shorts and fit up to 125 pounds.

She will just think they are your pajama bottoms.

  7. hahahahahahaha i cant believe you still pee on the bed! and plus if you do do the orange juice thing u know spill it on the pee. i think thats a bad idea. bc you still could smell it(the pee)

i think you should just tell her i aint bieng rude but its just so funny. lol. good luck telling her that. i am so happy that i aint you.! :))))))))))))))))))))

  8. tell her u feel more comfortable sleeping on the ground and if you do just bring xtra clothes and ask to take a shower in da morning     hope dis helps ya

  9. the person above had a good idea.

i would say take a glass of water or orange juice to bed with you and if you realize you wet the bed, spill it on there and say you spilled the juice by accident!

i like the pull up idea though! or even wear a maxi pad, that should hold the pee in case you can't find a pull up in your size

  10. If she's a real friend, she'd understand. I wet the bed until I was 10-ish and if I slept over at a friends house, I would let them know beforehand that I occasionally do.

It's nothing to be ashamed of, you can't control it.

If you want, if you aren't really close with this girl, say you have a spastic bladder. I did that sometimes, too.

  11. Try the pull up idea, but if you are uncomfortable with that and her possibly seeing....

    1.  Try the sleeping on the floor idea mentioned.  Something else you could do is try to make it fun.  Like say "Lets set up our sleeping bags/blankets and pretend...whatever you want to pretend.  That way you are not odd man out, you are both doing it.

    2.  Don't drink liquids for a long time before bed.

    3.  If you are old enough to have one, try saying you are afraid you will start your time of the month and wear  a pad.  If you do start to have an accident, you should have enough warning before wetting her and the bed.

I hope this helps and that you have a good time.  Don't stress about it any more than you have to, 'cause that could be your problem right there!  Good luck, and dry dreams!

  12. Just do this:

    1. Go to CVS or somewhere (before hand) with your mom or whoever and buy some of those special night pants or Depends size small (or whatever size), and pack a pair in your overnight bag

    2. Try not to drink a lot of liquids

    3. Take a sleeping bag with you and funnly suggest that you all camp out on the floor

    4. Also take one of those water proof bed spreads and lay it under (or inside if you don't want anyone to see it) your sleeping bag

    5. Take extra clothes and underwear

    6. For pajamas bring a pear a pants and a nightgown (put on the night pants or Depends then put on the pants then the night gown over it so it kind of drapes down to your feet or almost down to your feet and hides the bulkyness of the night pants or Depends under your pants)

    7. DON'T forget pajama pants!!! If you put on the night gown with nothing but the night pants or Depends under it and you start getting crazy or jumping around, let's just say peek-a-boo

    8. Try to use the bathroom before you fall asleep

    9. If you do happen to wet the bed (or sleeping bag) and your plan goes wrong just explain your problem to your friends, I know you don't want to, but if they are your true friends they will understand

    10. Don't stress, just have fun!!!

  13. Honey, I think that best way is that you say her the fact.

Perhaps she have same problem or such problem too.

    Try to be cool.

  14. I couldn't tell from the question if this has already happened, or if you are concerned that it will happen.

I'd say just explain it to her that it happens when you sleep in an unusual bed. Offer to strip the bed and put fresh sheets on. Also, they have waterproof mats that you can put in between the bedsheets and the mattress.

When my daughter had to sleep over somewhere when she was still wetting the bed I called ahead and talked to the mother, I brought one of the waterproof mats over and when the mother made the bed she slipped it in so that there would be no damage to the mattress.

  15. WOW! tough one girl.  Depending on your weight and size, you may fit into the overnights.  Your mom or dad will get them for you I'm sure (if they know your problem).  If you catch yourself and wake up when it happens, you can always try a winged maxi pad, but that won't do you any good if you don't wake up.

Otherwise, limit your drinks before bed and potty before bed, as you are getting ready and again before you are ready to go to sleep.  If you have a watch with an alarm, set it to wake you middle of the night to get up and go.  if your friend wakes up just say ...I set it for during the day but must have put in am instead of pm, sorry.  then say may as well potty and go back to bed......

    Good luck.

  16. Tell her that you would prefere to sleep on the floor or something, because you toss and turn alot in your bed and you're worried about hitting her in your sleep or something.

  17. get some pull ups and wear them under your pajamas.  your friend will never know!!

  18. Ive done that before and its really embarresing i think i told my friend but then my friend told her mom that the dog went to the bathroom in the bed. if you dont want to say that then you can just tell your friend that he pet did it. and if she doesnt have a pet, then im guessing that its one of your good friends, i would just tell her, she should understand
