If I win fantasy baseball every year?

What would be a good job for me? I suck at math, but I'm great at noticing trends.

First of all, get better competition (assuming you only play in public leagues).  Usually, playing in public leagues gets you playing against people who really don't care much about fantasy sports and are only trying it to try it or to prove that their "vast" (read: lack of) sports knowledge is indeed better than anybody else's.  Once their teams start floundering, they lose interest and ignore their team for the rest of the season.  The best fantasy experts can definitely win a 10-team league against novices, wanna-be's, and never-wills, but have a h**l of a time trying to beat other fantasy experts just like them (click on the link below).  Heck, I used to win almost all of my public leagues in fantasy baseball, basketball, and hockey (I always had a hard time with football though and has always been my least favorite sport) playing at Yahoo!, Sportsline, and Sandbox.  

As far as a career goes that is compatible with your self-described "great" ability to notice trends, perhaps a career as a stock broker would be good.  Unfortunately, getting into that field, I assume, requires a great deal of math and a whole new vocabulary to describe the trends that you're seeing in the economy.  You won't be able to fall back on your knowledge of pitchers' ERA and WHIP when you go into that realm.  The other career that might be good for you to take full advantage of your "noticing trends" niche AND requires no mathematics at all is a career in the fashion industry!  Watching Bravo's "Project Runway" will truly change your life!

If the stock market or fashion trend guru isn't your thing, then take my first suggestion and really put forth an effort to get really good competition to truly test your fantasy baseball prowess.  Might be too late now, but next season, 2009, create a league, call it "The Tyler is the Best League," make it private, and start getting some interest going in fantasy baseball forums.  Tell people you have a private league and you only want to face real serious competition because no one can beat you in fantasy baseball.  If they think they're game for it, they should email you at "[e-mail]" (or whatever) and you will set a time for an interview (YES an interview.  If they're willing to join your league, they're definitely willing to answer a few questions beforehand.  Remember, you only want THE BEST COMPETITION). You'd be surprised what a real fantasy baseball player will go through to get some real competition in fantasy baseball (And I'm talking from experience, as an interviewer and interviewee).  And that's one way of getting a true competitive fantasy baseball league going.
