Question:

If I work study do I still get my fafsa money sent out to me just like before when I didn't work study?

or if I work study no more checks sent out to me anybody know?? or is work study even more money I can gain?

  1. You won't notice a difference if you take the work-study money in how you get paid.  Basically, to earn your work-study money all you need to do is get a on-campus job.  They will pay you in the normal fashion - the difference between you and a non-work-study student is your school gets money from the government to pay you.  So you will get your checks, just like normal, but the school's budget won't be paying for you, the federal government will.


  2. depends on how our college distributes it and what their policy is.

    call your college financial aid office or shoot them an email or go by there.

  3. I'm a work study in Texas.  I still get my financial aid check every semester and then get my work study check every 50 hours that I work. I love it!!!  Later on when I do my resume I don't have any unemployed time and the people I work for serve as great references, plus I learn a lot more while i work.
