  1. To be honest, don't do it.  Car sales is considered one of the worst jobs going.  You get paid draw against commission.  If you are lucky, they will pay a base salary, which is marginal.  Also, the economy is in the tank, and you will not be successful, since many people are being conservative with the dollar.

  2. Working at a Honda dealer would be a good choice. It all depends on how the store has the pay set up. Some stores do a flat pay per car. Some are strictly commission. If you didn't make enough you would take a draw on what you might sell. You can make a lot, hopefully you have sales experience. If you are just starting out you'll need help paying bills unless you have money saved. Some of the guys I know make close to six figures and they aren't in management. You will be working about 65 hours a week. It's not a career for all.

Our store did 173 last month and 190 the month before. It all depends on the volume of the store on how much you'll make.

  3. Its not worth it. You have to work long hours, weekends, and holidays. Its not the best business to be in.

  4. It dependens how much commision they will pay you for each car you sell. Some place will only pay you 250 dollars for each car you sell sometimes you get more for selling a used car. But if you dont sell enough cars for that month sometimes they will fire you.
