If Im serving chicken alfredo pasta as a main course at a dinner what do I serve as the sides?

I was thinking maybe a salad to begin the course but I don't know what to serve as the sides. HELP!

A nice green mixed salad would be enough seasoned with olive oil, lime and salt and of course a good white wine!!!

I would consider some kind of cooked vegetable side.  Consider roasted or grilled asparagus.  I do not recommend serving another starch (like potato or rice) but you could do garlic bread if you'd like.

When I cook a main pasta dish like this, I generally serve it with a salad made of bell pepper, cucumber, and onion marinated in Italian dressing, and then I serve a cooked vegetable with it.  (I do this as opposed to serving a salad before the pasta.)

broccoli and cauliflower in butter sauce, but not in cream sauce as that would be much too much cream sauce to make a pretty plate.

And maybe something with orange or red in it.

Roasted red peppers is a nice healthy side dish , or ice cold red peppers, with a ranch dipping sauce. Alfredo is a little heavy to do much more. You could also serve some sort of Parmesan encrusted bread sticks.

A nice Caesar salad with homemade garlic croûtons is a great accompaniment to Chicken Alfredo. Other than some soft bread sticks or garlic bread, you don't need any sides. That dish is heavy enough on it's own.
