If JFK were still around today -would he recogniize the Democratic party..?

I don't think that he would, if fact I could see him disagreeing w/many of their positions (Driver's Licenses for illegal-aliens, etc). The Dems like to make a big deal out of his legacy; when in fact, some one of the biggest quagmires (Vietnam) started on his & Johnson's watch..

  2. No he would be a republican today. Read Zell Miller's book, A party no more.

  3. No and Ike wouldn't recognize the Republican Party either.  Back then, both, in their own different ways cared about the american people, all of them.  The country was not full of radical left and right.

    Eisenhower was the president when we had troops in Vietnam.

  7. If you took down all the banners and he just listened to the speeches and what they want to do, he might think they are the American Socialist (Communist) Party
