Why is it he never laughed? 33 years and not even a chuckle? I guess laughing does help you live longer, with Jesus being the control, dying at 33.

  1. The Gospel writers didn't write anything that wasn't necessary to the Gospels.

Stories about how Jesus laughed all day after Peter farted were left out.

  2. Jesus was human, so yes, he did laugh just like everyone else. He enjoyed all of the same things other people in his time enjoyed. Jesus loved everyone, and was a servant to all. In his compassion for others, he may have appeared too serious, but look at the times he lived in. All in all, Jesus was human and full of life.

  3. To assume that he never laughed just because the writers of the four Gospels had no reason to mention it is downright...........well.........illogic...

I've never read anywhere that George Bush brushes his teeth every day -- but I would never therefore conclude that he believes in bad oral hygience.

Your final statement is downright meaningless......and consistent with your lack of logical thinking. (Is this post really the best you can do?)

  4. You obviously never read the gnostic texts?  What makes you think He did not laugh?

  5. Just because it doesn't record Jesus laughing doesn't mean He never laughed.

Jesus was a nice enough guy for children to want to be around Him. I'm sure He let out a laugh every now and then.

  6. If your dad was as big of an A**, your laughter would be limited too.

  7. just because it doesnt say so in the Bible never meant he never laughed

  8. How do you know He never laughed?  Is that the best you could do?  Cause it's really lame.

  9. Proverbs 1:26

    I also will laugh at your calamity;

I will mock when your fear cometh;"

You need to read the whole chapter 1 of Proverbs.

Ecclesiastes 3:4  For everything there is a season

    "A time to weep,

    and a time to laugh;

    a time to mourn,

    and a time to dance."

    Luke 6:21  Jesus said

"Blessed are ye that hunger now:

    for ye shall be filled.

Blessed are ye that weep now:

    for ye shall laugh."

Concerning worldliness and pride God said

    James 4:9

Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:

let your laughter be turned to mourning,

    and your joy to heaviness.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you

    doubleminded.  verse 8

  10. Odds are, Jesus and all the apostles had a huge laugh after St. Peter decided to join Jesus, walking on the sea ... and promptly sunk.

That was probably the best entertainment those fishermen had in a long, long time!

  11. Why not? Then how come the pharisees complained that His disciples always ate and drank only......Somehow they  must have had a goodtime drinking    with Jesus who surely must have laughed at some of the funny things His apostles did or spoke about, or even thought about.

  12. he's not the messiah he's a very naughty boy ( from the life of brian) . no seriously how do you know he didnt laugh

  13. The Bible doesn't really go that much into his personal life. Kinda like the whole idea of him being married to Mary Magdalene and having a child with her.

  14. Just because scripture doesnt specifically say that Jesus laughed, doesnt mean He didnt.... Scripture doesnt say that Jesus ever had to pee either, but Im thinking that He did.

He made the platypus, how funny is that.....Lets take a beaver, put on a ducks bill, and have it lay eggs.....hey Darwin figure that one out.

  15. He was called the man of sorrows! Why would you be walking around laughing if you where going to be killed a slow horrible death.

you have no understanding of life if you think it's about being happy.

  16. Jesus stood up at the dinner table and said "Except ye eat my flesh" and then with a wink and a nod he said "Now whistle us a tune, Saint Matthew."

  17. His happiness came from deep inside from knowing he was doing his Fathers will.  Its not the jumping up and clicking your heels kind  or chuckling.

  18. I think He did.

  19. I've never seen you laugh either.
