Yes. A mugger doesn't care what occupation you are and they choose their victims based on if they think they have something to counter whatever you'll do like either a gun or a bunch of other guys waiting in the corner.

Like it or not being a black belt at anything does not make you Superman and the "bad guys" need to only kill you once.

Every one has a moment of weakness and it only takes a moment to sneak up to someone and knock them out.  

Of cause a MMA fighter will be tougher to mug because of skills but we all know that some MMA fighters have drug and alcohol  problems and they may get caught off guard too.

MMA fighters are not superman and under the right circumstances anything can happen.

The key is to be alert and sober to minimize the chances of being mugged.
