  1. Joe would have been a more qualified VP

but would have upset his base

    Mr. Country First

Looks like he put his Party First

  2. Yes.

  3. It wouldn't have gotten my vote.  Neither party backs Lieberman.

  4. He wanted Lieberman, he caved.  Obama picked who he wanted, not Hillary even though I am sure he felt the pressure, This is a perfect example of why I think Obama will be a more effective president.

  5. Yes, probably.

    Palin will not though.

  6. Yes, probably more.

there were so many sore-**** losers of hillary's that were just looking for a good substitute for not voting obama since he beat her.

but i'm sorry palin is not it!

  7. Still voting for Palin but if Lieberman were picked, he would have got my vote......To sum it up.....Anyone but OBAMA would have got my vote.

  8. I doubt it. Lieberman is a used to be Democrat turned Independent leaning toward Republican. Lieberman can't make up his mind which party he wants to belong to.

Palin represents many qualities of today's American woman. We have families, we have careers (yes, even in politics), stable marriages, all the while facing everyday family problems like everyone else (my nephew became a father at 19) but facing their problems in the public eye.

Obama on the other hand, tries to represent his family as the quaint, average, every day family, living out the perfect American dream. Most people cannot relate to the picture perfect family they try to portray, while living in a $1.6 home. Most of us have not been handed jobs that pay in the low six-figures, simply because we decided we wanted to try a job in business, and one was simply handed to us, with no qualifications for the job. No qualifications other than that our husband was just elected a State Senator.

For me, these are the things that I look for in a candidate, beyond the issues they claim are important to them and us. Yes, they all make promises. No, they will not be able to keep all of them. But it's the ones they promise that we believe (and yes, dare to hope), that they can deliver on, are the ones that are important. But what kind of character they have says a lot about what kind of President they will be, or Vice President. When Obama has to take a hard line either on an issue or when dealing with foreign leaders, will he send in Biden to be the stern one so he comes off looking like some charismatic leader who never has to be anything but nice and agreeable on the outside? See what a great President he is. He can charm his way through any crisis or any dealings with the radicals and terrorists in the world. Yeah right, and then the world woke up and found the dream turned into a nightmare.

Or do we want a President who has been through that nightmare and come out to go on striving for that American Dream. Someone who can and will take the hard line when needed. Yes, everyone says that a vote for McCain is a vote for another four years of Bush, but I'm not seeing that as true. McCain seems to be someone who thinks for himself and doesn't vote party lines cause that's what's expected of a good little Politician. He HAS reached across the aisle, while Obama claims he CAN reach across the aisle. I would rather have seen Obama actually do what he claims he can, before reaching for the highest office in this country.

If you are voting for President based on what that person has done in his political career and in the Senate, then you should vote for the person who has done the most and for more time than it took for Obama to find his seat.

If you are voting for the President based on the accomplishments of their running mate, then Biden represents everything that is opposite of what Obama is all about. Palin represents today's Republican party.

Lieberman seems to be confused as to his party affiliation. Therefore, no Republican can look at Lieberman and say he will look out for his party's best interest, nor can a Democrat say that because Lieberman used to be a Democrat he would be looking out for their best interests either.

  9. he did want Lieberman, but the conservatives wouldn't have it:

  10. There is a possibility.  Also he wouldn't have gotten a chunk of  the Jewish population who tends to vote Democratic.

  11. Yes he would have

  12. If Lieberman was VP you would have gotten the g*y Israeli vote.
