Seeing as Pres. Bush has a higher approval rating than Congress and its a Democratic Congress wouldn't it be better to be with him than them? Maybe its just me but I see Congress as worse being the legislature and if we go by the polls so do alot of others. Isn't it just as bad to vote in line with Democrats?

  1. Obama voted for the Bush/Cheney Enegry Bill that benefited oil companies.

  2. It doesn't work that way, doesn't even sound logic McBush lover!!

  3. That's true.

I'd also like to point out that Bush and McCain line up 90% of the time because most of what Congress passes is fluff, like money for orphans or a resolution congratulating Phelps in the Olympics. These bills are passed almost unanimously and without protest from Bush. That raises the percentage significantly.

  4. It seems more like 100% of the time Obama is line with Marx and/or Stalin.

  5. The primary reason Congress has low ratings is that people expect them to somehow accomplish something, when in reality, with such a small majority, and Bush at the ready with his veto pen, they really can't do much but STOP the Republicans from running rampant.

Secondly, most Americans don't pay much attention to politics (which is why the above occurs). Sadly, they go into the polls not knowing much, too. It would be interesting to find out, but I'm guessing the majority of Americans don't even know who Pelosi.

Personally, I haven't been impressed with the job she is doing, but for, I'm sure, different reasons than you. She took impeachment off the table, and for that I'll never forgive her. She has also started to fall in line with the insane idea of opening up the gulf to more oil drilling. We need someone in her place that will stand up to the insanity of the right.

  6. Pelosi is the Speaker of the House.  Obama is a Senator.  So where is the connection.  Plus Obama has never claimed, as McCain does every chance he gets, that he is some kind of 'maverick'.  The truth is McCain is no maverick.  He follows the party line over 90% of the time to a president who has failed miserably.  A failure that McCain wants to continue.
