If Junior started to drive like his dad would you like him then?

I was a BIG fan of his after his dad passed and up until he went to Hendricks.  I was a fan of his dad's too.

Not a real fan of Jr. now mostly because of SOME of his fans but there are other reasons as well.(Hendricks)   I am sure he is a good enough guy etc...

I still would feel the same way regardless of who he drove like.

Nope. I wasn't a fan of his daddy & I not a fan of his. Sorry. His driving style really has nothing to do with it. I'm not saying I hate the guy or won't yell for him if he's my only option between him & his teammates. I'm just not a fan.

i like him now and he does drive like his dad sometimes, i mean it is few and far between, but he has his own driving style and he has said that he wanted a name for himself he didnt want to be in the shadows of his dad forever, i think he could drive like sr but he just doesnt want to

That's like asking if you would like Kyle Petty if he drove like his dad. No, I wouldn't, at least not as a favorite driver if that's what you mean.....but I respect both the Earnhardts and Pettys currently, so obviously driving style doesn't have much to do with me liking him off-the-track.

I blow Jr out of proportion....and I enjoy it.  

I'd like Jr regardless...There is no other driver worth my attention.  He could drive like his daddy, or he could drive Ms Daisy and I'd still root him on.

are you assuming i don't like him now? i do like the guy - not my favorite driver, but seemingly not a bad guy. if he started to drive like his dad i think he'd have more problems than anything else - it's not his style. i mean if kyle busch started driving more like jeff burton (or mark martin, or clint bowyer) i'd assume something was very wrong with him. not that their driving styles have anything wrong with them - they work for those guys - but that's not kyle's style - and since it wouldn't suit him, i assume he would do badly because of it. same for junior. i'd probably like him less then for not being true to himself and trying to be what other people want him to be.

I think his driving is just fine the way it is.Everyone acts like he's driving horribly and busch is so great HE"S IN SECOND PLACE IN POINTS WITH ONLY 1 WIN THAT SHOULD SAY IT ALL HE IS CONSITENTLY HAVING GOOD FINISHES AND NO DNF'S

No, most people did not care for the way Dale Sr. drove.  People tend to think of Sr. as being more popular than he really was.  The only year he EVER won the most popular driver award was the year he tragically lost his life at Daytona.  It is unfortunate that incident is what it took for him to become the fan favorite but that is the honest truth of it.

That's a hard one. It's alright to bump and bang, but when it comes to wrecking people, I just really don't think that's racing.

They'd like him for the same reasons they hate Kyle if that happened. I wouldn't though, although I do think he'd get more wins if he'd be aggressive instead of settling for 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th...etc. I think the only way I could like him more is if his fans wouldn't make him into something he's not, and not have such double-standards when it comes to certain stuff. If they looked at him more realistically instead of blowing him out of proportion it would be better.
