...do you think it would secure him a seat for the rest of this season, and perhaps next season? Yeah, I know it's a long shot, but... what if?

  1. I am so happy to see Kenny back in car...hate that it is a toyota, but still glad.

  2. I don't think he would do the rest of the races of this year, he may do

a  few because I read that they want Joey Lagano to get some cup experience before he takes over the 20 car. So, they are wanting him

to drive probably 5 races. (Hall of Fame Racing is a satellite team of

    Gibbs),, so that makes sense.

  3. I really don't think so. I like Ken and everything but it seems like teams nowadays are looking for the next new "Young Gun".

Maybe the rest of the year but next year probably not.

  4. Hey...look at it this way, he CAN'T do any worse than Yeley did.

  5. No, he will still do these part time stints.

  6. of all the drivers i'd like to see win just one more race, Schrader takes the cake.  No chance of him staying in the 96 car though.  That deal is already done.

  7. It wouldn't be the #96. That I know. That ride is already set for Brad Coleman. Before JJ was released there were rumors that there was going to be a 2nd team formed for him (Brad) perhaps the #97 (unless Jack Roush still has controlling interest on that number or the #95). But since JJ was released they simply moved him into that ride & the 2nd HOF car talks died.

I'd like Ken to get a solid ride in NASCAR, so I do hope that this could be his shot, but like you said, it is a long shot.

  8. That would be awesome to see some of the old guys win some and don't really know why they struggle so much. I say we put Kenny in the 5 car after Mark Martin.

  9. Schrader is replacing Brad coleman right in the #96?

i hope he does well because i think hall of fame racing is 40th in points.  at least he'll have fun and gets a ride

  10. no he is a good racer but not popular enough. that's to bad because he really loves the sport.

  11. I really like Ken, but I don't think he'll have a full time ride again. Once BAM racing went bellyup I think his best shot left.  Ken is a fine driver and will race anytime, anywhere.

  12. Well he has qualified 7th....their best start of the year....why not??? If I was a sponsor I'd want the best driver to sell my product....not the prettiest face. I think IF Schrader can finish well....he might a get a few more starts BUT I don't think it'll be remainder of the season...and no chance at next year....but one can hope!!! Hope he does well!

  13. You never know these days, they just might give him a shot at the ride and as you know, lots of drivers this year have been thrown under the bus and backed over again and again by owners and Nascar.

In reality though, they need the experience of a seasoned driver to pull them up in points and I wish Schrader well, but do believe Coleman will be back in the seat..who knows??
