  1. There really should be a minimun IQ for this site.

  2. It was Kyle's attitude that didnt get him another contract with HMS..

What race was it that he left the track and JR jumped into the 5car to finish the race that Kyle left the track???

That was not a smart move of Kyle's behalf with a future with HMS.. But a dang good one to find a better ride.

  3. Well it would not be the first time he sued when he did not get his way.

He sued an owner in the 90's when another owner/manufacurer signed Gordon, now that is history.

But it was a mutual release and there is no bases for any suit.

  4. You know you can simply see who the great drivers are by comparing what they do with the equipment they have. The #5 of Casey Mears this season is the worst of the Hendrick cars performance wise. I think he is 25th in points if that, and Kyle showed us last season that he can take such a poor car and finish in the top 5 in points with it. Not to shabby for not having the best of the best at that stable is it? Then he takes over the 18 car of JJ Yeley this season. JJ Yeley was absolutely pitiful in it last year, and now Kyle is in it and has 6 wins and counting.

Kyle gets the absolute most out of his equipment. I don't think 5th place in points is anything to be upset about. There are 40 other drivers who would have loved to have been in Kyle's shoes last season, and I'm sure they all would this go around. Don't knock Kyle's talent. Hendrick was not a good fit for him as it's all about who makes him the money. Joe Gibbs noticed Kyle's tremendous talent and look at the dividends it is paying for everyone involved in that camp.

  5. first of all, smartest thing rick should have done is got rid of casey  mears and kept kyle, and got jr. cause who is casey mears, a no body. Also even if kyle wins the championship this year, he will not be more popular than jr. as of now kyle has 9 wins in his career, jr. 18, and casey 1. the choice is simple.

  6. RICK HENDRICK HAD TO GET RID OF HIM TO MAKE ROOM FOR MR MERCHANDISE.

    MISTAKE!

  7. Hendricks would be to blame for giving Johnson and Gordon superior cars. motors, and pit crews.  Kyle did everything right with what he was given.  I don't see Mears doing much with the #5 this year....because he isn't the driver that Kyle is.  Hendricks wanted a powerhouse sovenier selling driver and he got that in Jr.  It's a shame that Jr. isn;t the driver that Kyle is either.

  8. I guess ????????????????  brent m is right  Toyota has spent all there japaneesee money in R&D its definally

    paying off

  9. No butt he should sue him for having Zackly disease. His face looks zackly like his butt.

  10. if you want to compare Yeley to Busch this year to last year   look at the amount of money spent by toyota in R&D   and ALL toyota drivers were all but pitiful last year.  JR would have performed the same in the 18 car.   a Busch is a Busch is a Busch,   all whine and cry      Spencer should smack the younger as he did the elder

  11. no

  12. this question smells like someone cut some cheese alright...

most everything i would say has already been said by the more informed people who answered, even those who aren't necessarily kyle fans. but i'll "digest" it for you:

while with hendrick, busch won fifteen races (4 cup, 11 busch). at the same time he was also winning truck races for billy balew (6 overall from 2005-2007), but kyle probably would have helped rick out there too if hms had a truck team...  add to that 30 top-5s, 51 top-10s, and 2 poles in the cup series alone, and you've got quite a 20-22 year old prodigy in the making.  and overall, kyle finished 20th in the cup points his first full year with hms, 10th the second, and 5th his last year there - improving every year...

he also set a number of records while there - youngest driver to win a nationwide race (at the time), youngest to win a truck race (that was for ballew), and the first to win a COT race (which was also the 200th win for HMS and the 600th for chevy). he was also the youngest to win at nearly every track he managed a win; he was the first driver to win in all three series more than one year (2005-2007 for hms/ballew, and 2008 for gibbs/braun/ballew), first to win a truck and nationwide race on the same "weekend/venue" (actually did that twice); and the list goes on...

so what should hendrick sue him for, "getting fired right before he hit his stride?" or maybe for "not selling enough merchandise?"

  13. No. Because there is no patent on sliced cheese. And besides The Hendricks use a grater

  14. Finished 5th in points last year, that doesn't exactly sound like **** to me!

And who the h**l said he was the best "think" since sliced cheese?

  15. Rick fired him, so he gets to watch as Rowdy does what he does best, win and tick people off...see a pattern, get rid of the young guy and bring in another guy mid season??? now Mears is out and Martin is in, so what will Mears do next season???

  16. Actually, He did more than, He should have been able to, given the co operation of H.M.S. with His team.

Rick, was a very poor judge of talent on this one.

  17. He had a bad attitude while with Hendrick and was obviously not performing up to his potential. His firing was a wakeup call and the best thing that could have happened to him.

He wasn't working out at Hendrick so why should Rick have kept him?

You can't sue for what might have been.

edit...... Don't make Gibbs out to be a hero in this. Remember he offered Jr the 18 ride first.

  18. Kyle made the chase his last two years with HMS, a team whose focus,  best equipment and best personnel went to the Jeff and Jimmy show.  Are you an attorney or just an unhappy Jr fan.

  19. No, But he should sue Jr. for not performing better than Kyle this year.
