Ok Lebron is an AMERICAN. Yes he is black. But he is an athlete than people not matter what team they like, they know who Lebron is. He is an AMERICAN superstar. So if he goes to Europe just to make $50 million a year, he should have to stay there forever! Comments?

  1. The angry mobs when he goes back to Akron will be punishment enough. Besides, David Beckham hasn't have his English citizenship revoked yet. Citizenship of all the businessmen selling products on other continents hasn't been revoked either.

Don't overreact. Basketball is just a game. By the way, LeBron being black doesn't have anything do to with it. Black people aren't any less American than anyone else who have lived in the US their whole life.

  2. yes

  3. heh if he goes and many others goes, it gives me hope that i can play in the nba =D

  4. Yeah and i think if he does that nike should leave him too.

  5. YES. No I am just kidding, but if that happened I would be so mad but if that does happen he is only in it for the money. The Euro is very powerful indeed.

  6. wat about all the oversea players at other countries. what about superstars like yao and ginobli? should they be exiled from their countries? this is a very stupid question. business and careers doesn't change their nationalities

  7. He shouldn't be exiled from the United States. His contract is up in 2010, and he'll be a free agent, giving him the luxury of being able to play overseas.

He has freedom of choice, and $50 million per year is too much money to pass up.

  8. Him doing that is not any worse than American CEOs and the like which do business primarily in Asia and Europe.  Just as star status should not warrant preferencial treatment, it should not insist on a higher standard.  The beauty of being an American is that citizenship cannot be revoked for something like that.

  9. One simple answer ---- NO.
