  1. No one is in charge of the internet...  that's why...  and that is why it is hard to pass laws and regulate things on the internet.

  2. no one is in charge of the internet.....dont you think they would stop kiddie p**n too?

My advice, pick up a copy of wired and learn more about the internet

  3. Because Limewire its self isn't illegal.. it's downloading and sharing copywriten files that is.

  4. Websites are removed from the internet all the time so the people who said "no one is in charge" are wrong. Its true that no one is in charge of the internet itself, but the countries those websites operate in have governments they have to answer to. They cant do anything about limewire (at this moment in time) because limewires excuse is that they are not supplying copyrighted material to people, its users are. They are not responsible for what their users do because they just act as a median. So its just like if I were to mail you something illegal in the mail. They couldnt blame the postal service for what I choose to send you, although the postal service acts as the median between me and you.

  5. No one is in charge of the internet, you fool.

Limewire is not illegal. Downloading things from one computer to another is perfectly legal, and is why the internet is most commonly used. It is the sharing of COPYRIGHTED information that is illegal.

To make a parallel: Bricks are legal but throwing a brick at someone's head is illegal. It's not the tool, it's how you use it.

  6. when we signed up for limewire we have to choose "i will not use this for copyright infridgment."  therefore if we do it, were at fault

LOL, that would be near impossible to get caught, becuz every teen i know uses limewire.  The only way they will get you if you get movies and resale them by the masses.

  7. Limewire itself isn't illegal. It's downloading and sharing the files that is. No one really is "in charge of" the internet anyway. Hope I helped! :)

  8. Lime wire isn't the one that is sharing the music, we are.
