Given the rising sea-levels, one wonders if in time, the Capital will have to move to higher ground........ one wonders where ? or would London become a new Venice ? I do enjoy a nice punt with Lady Felicity......

  1. If fair was indeed the case then we would have to call it; Fecking Miracle.

  2. Glasgow would be the logical second choice; but you'd have to execute that b*****d Galloway and chase all the chavs out first.

  3. Little Boffington, it has every thing,  except, class, good taste, nice people, honesty, honest council officials and shops. In fact everything that makes a capitol. Oh yes and all the Aristo gang live here.

  4. There are no rising sea levels except in your mind.

Even the UN says the worst case scenario would be a few inches and that's only if the world continues to warm.  The latest reading show a cooling trend for the last 10 years.

You must be watching fantasy movies by Al Gore.

Venice has always been below sea level since it was built in a swamp.

You should really read a book, or get some education.  I guess it's safe to look totally ignorant on Y!A since no one knows who you really are, but how embarrassing it must be.

  5. Rising sea levels mean that the best choice would be the geographical centre of England which appears to be a telephone box in Dunsop Bridge, Lancashire. Though how we would get seven million people in it is another question.  Fortunately most of these would be immigrant workers used to sharing accommodation.  Of course if London becomes the new Venice, I shall expect to be punted every week-end.

  6. the UN, we all know how right wing they are, say that Al Gores estimate of a 20 foot rise in sea level is nonsense. They, in there evil conservative ways, say that 20-24 inches in more accurate. Dont worry about it.

IMO, Glasgow should be the capital of the UK.

  7. Considering that Stafford was once capital of Mercia, it should really be time for it to revert to capital status.

Though it is perhaps more likely that Birmingham 20 miles south will get the honour instead.
