Question:

If Ma Nature decides to put the underwater city of N'awlins under water again, will we abide by her wishes?

In 2005 Ma Nature decided she wanted the below sea level city of New Orleans back under water where she always intended it to be. In return, we got King Bush committing untold billions of productive person property to rebuild Atlantis, er I mean New Orleans. Now, with Ma Nature making noise just three short years later, will we get it through our thick skulls that it's stupid to rebuild cities that have no business being cities? Or will we shake down producers once more and defy Ma Nature?

  1. What's even worse is that we have engineers that went to college for  years...and after studying and discovering that the Levees that were only capable of handling a level 3 hurricane were the problem...

They put the same kind of levees in, again.  Talk about a waste of a brain...

Anyway...I like NO, I was there for a Saints game once.  It's sad what happened with Katrina...but I think we should get the hint: If the hurricanes are just going to continue to sink the city...maybe it just shouldn't be there.

  2. New Orleans holds a great cultural heritage to the US.

Ma Nature would have been sufficiently tamed if the levees had been sufficiently taken care of.

  3. Lumberg,

You do realize that the hurricanes are caused by SUVs and monofilament light bulbs, don't you?  I think the only way to truly save New Orleans is to all live in teepees... by candlelight.

    Hook

  4. Duh-huuuh... I dun come from Nyawlins! I dun understoods what u talkin' bout

  5. I would think all of the enviro-wackos would be all for letting New Orleans return to Mother nature but then they wouldn't be able to blame Bush for it.

  6. Ma Nature was fed all the pollution and warming that made her get rougher. Deal with it.

Is it just New Orleans you are done with? Maybe New York should have not rebuilt if it is such a terrorism magnet. Or Oklahoma City. Give up on Florida entirely, peninsulas are less secure than mainland, right?

  7. OK, less then half of New Orleans is below sea level.

New Orleans is very important to the country.

Every place is prone to natural disasters.

We are tax paying citizens, what gives you the right to take away our home? Please slap yourself for me.

We will always rebuild. I know it makes you angry for people who live in a place prone to a natural disaster(which is anywhere, at least we have warning) to rebuild their homes and lives, but you're just going to have to stop being idiotic and deal :D
