If MacArthur had not been stopped ?

Newmarketsalsa... love the game,but don't like losing, especially when they have the race more or less carved up and it goes wrong...Mahler would have done,but biggest bet on Macarthur!!!

Soumillon has lost me so much money over the past few years that, out of principal, I will not back a horse he rides over here.

I'm not sure if Macarthur would have won, but I do feel that, if he had not taken a false step (or maybe he tried to jump a shadow) Mahler would have finished closer, perhaps in front.

At the end of the day, it is the horse with their head in front on the line that wins.  We can't waste times with "what ifs".  Besides, it is the unpredictable nature of racing that keeps us interested!

sorry mate i dont agree. its true he was unlucky and the jokey gave him a bad ride . but he didnt even get third and was being overtaken 50 yards from the line when there was a gap on the rails . so no he would not of won with a clear run .
