  1. Oscar De La Hoya is a idiot to pick a fight with Manny Pacquiao, a man who's much less powerful and skillfull. It's like a circus freak show. They should call him Oscar De La "Money". If he wants to retire with some dignity he should fight Antonio Margarito. That's more on the level. It's ridiculous. Oscar's going to dance all over him.

  2. PAQ WONT BEAT OSCAR, STEP TO FAR I THINK, IF HE DID I THINK MAYWEATHER WOULD COME BACK TO FIGHT HIM, MESSAGE TO CARLO_ZA, DURAN DIDNT BEAT HAGLER AND HOLYFEILD DIDNT BEAT LEWIS

  3. I think Floyd is just looking for "one" more payday.  Although the fight with Manny would be huge.  He need to fight Antonio Margarito.  That it the only fight that truly makes sense.

Manny carries his weight well, but Oscar will be 160 on fight night.  That is a lot more power to exchange with than he is use to fighting.  If he tried to go toe-to-toe, I think Oscar will put him down.  He picked him for a reason.  And the reason wasn't money.

  4. First of all, I don't know why people think size matters when it comes to fighters below the heavy-weight division. Its been done lots of times. And it wont be a surprise to "THIS MEXICAN" (who hates DLH) that Pacquaio beats him. I have said this before, Mayweather has ducked so many great fighters by not fighting them or moving up in weight. Go through the list...In 1999 he ducked "The Prince" Nashim Hamed, then you had Kasta Zoo (don't know how to spell his name), then you had Barrera, Morales, Marquez, and now you have Pacquaio, and Margarito. These were/are top fights with top money, but "HE IS SCARED"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I was gonna give you a fully detailed explanation on what my opinion is regarding Mayweather coming out of retirement to fight Pacquaio if he were to beat De La Hoya but after carefully reviewing your question, i think you answered your own question with the last statement, if "The Money's right?" it's no secret Mayweather is all about the money now. He's a very talented fighter but i just dont think he has the passion to fight unless it's financially worth it to him.

  6. Manny Pacquiao would be listed in the top 20 greatest boxer of all-time after he defeats Oscar.

  7. Manny beats Oscar.

    Floyd unretires to beat Manny.

I previously posted these examples of small guys like Manny beating much bigger foes:

    1) Mickey Walker--A 5'9" welterweight champion, held heavyweight Jack Sharkey to a draw, but most spectators felt he deserved the decision. Twice beat Johnny Risko, a d**n good heavyweight contender. He also beat Bearcat Wright, who weighed 270 pounds and was over 100lbs heavier than Walker. Beat Paolino Uzcudun, as well.

    2) Harry Greb- A middleweight, beat the great Gene Tunney, a Heavyweight

    3) Louis-Conn(Conn basically stayed at his natural weight and was winning until he made a tactical mistake. This against a top 3 all-time pound for pound great.)

    4) Henry Armstrong-A featherweight who won the lightweight and welter crown!!!

    5) Duran-Hagler

    6) Duran-Moore

    7) Holyfield-Bowe(remember, Evander started as a light-heavy)

    8) Holyfield-Lewis

    9) Spinks-Holmes

    10) Whitaker against the welterweights.

Oscar doesn't use his awesome physical gifts--jab, reach, footwork. And he's older and slower.

Manny uses his physical gifts to his advantage. And he's younger and faster!

I'll be a rich man if these fights develop!!!!!

  8. First of all, this fight should not happen. This is one of those things wrong with boxing. Money comes first. Ok, that's out of the way. If PAC beats Dela Hoya, it's almost a sure bet Floyd will come back. Floyd will see all the attention and money this fight will generate and would want the same thing, "One last Big Payday".

  9. If Manny beats De La Hoya, a big if given the size difference, Mayweather has to do it. The money will be huge, the hype will be huge, and if he doesn't he will always be perceived as having ducked Pacman.

edit: re: the guy who listed example of smaller fighters beating bigger fighters--I have no doubt that Manny could be De La Hoya and won't be surprised if he does. I just watched the Armstrong-Ross fight on youtube today, and Armstrong was very similar in size and relentless style to Manny, and he just beat the bigger man down in that fight, did it numerous times.

  10. I think Pacman would k.o. De La Hoya  and if pacman called out mayweather he would run just like he retired so he wouldnt have to rematch de la hoya and not have to fight Cotto

  11. well if pacquaio were to beat de la hoya i think mayweather will come out of retirement..nd idk why de la hoya is tryin to loose weight he should jst accept margarito's challenge nd give all the mexicans

    a good show.

  12. No....he should fight Margarito instead.....Margarito won't run.....he will attack instead, then again maybe Pac-Man doesn't want that.
