  1. Manny said he'd rather retire than play for the Yankees

  2. They Yankees would be better off going after pitchers.  They have plenty of big bats already.

  3. NY Post is dreaming... they said they were gonna get a starting pitcher form the Giants and Josh Hamilton... its a tabliod no credit.

But if manny joined the dark side the red sox really effed up... they already effed up by trading and not paying him and paying Schilling and Lugo but they would have really really effed up if Manny goes to the Yankees.

  4. yankees already have way too many outfielders

  5. Manny would be a bad fit with the Yankees. With the 3 and 5 hitters in free agency (Abreu and Giambi), it would make much more sense to acquire lefties around A-Rod. If Manny were signed, it would be Jeter, Manny, A-Rod. Three righties in a row. And Manny probably wouldn't agree to be a 5 hitter, but I could be wrong. The Yankees would certainly improve, but they could find better ways to spend money.

  6. they would own if the yankees also got ortiz they would win every game
