  1. Palin has shown up on McCain's earmark list several times.  She requested 70pages worth of earmarks to Ted Stevens (you know the guy that's under MAJOR corruption charges) just this february 2008.

But ah well, if that's the myth they are selling, who cares about the truth.  It sounds good, it feels good, go vote for the lie.

  2. The only problem is that even if they cut every single earmark (which if that is what it takes to get us back to fiscal responsibility, then so be it), that by itself still won't balance the budget.

  3. my senator here got earmarks to expand stevenson drive, that surely helped the traffic but he was voted out cause of that action. so no i wont like. even if he gave it to me i wouldn't like. im a liberal.

  4. Look up the facts, Palin signed off on earmarks.  Granted, Palin gave a wonderful speech the other night, but she does have wasteful spending in her record as governor.

Also, the war is more draining to our economy than anything else.  It's a quagmire plain and simple.  There was no Bin Laden connection or WMDs.  Republicans can talk big against fiscal responsibility, but the records of Palin and McCain prove otherwise.

She made a great speech though.  Snappy line about the hockey moms.

  5. Certainly.

  6. the more earmarked items they cut the bettter. if it can not make it into the budget bill correctly do not pay for it.  we are wasting too much money any way

  7. cut away.

  8. Yes!!!!  If it can't be funded locally or privately, it's because it isn't wanted.
