I honestly don't think that the so-called Christian Right is as effective in determining the results of an election as they are hyped up to be - I believe moderate republicans far outnumber them.

In any event, they're not going to vote for the dimwit that voted for killing babies outside of the womb after a botched abortion, that's for certain!

well romney is a latter-day-saint member, so the christian population as a whole will probably be split between viewing him as a heretic or viewing him as someone with similar opinions.

I think it will raise issues for the religious Right who are very skeptical of the Mormons.  Also, Romney has, at times, been a VERY weak conservative... that won't help.

Great Question!  I believe that this one is very hard to gage. I think a lot of it will deal with the level of support Obama is getting on election day from people who believe in God. Some fundamentalists may see Mitt's Denomination as a barrier but I for one know we are electing a Pres and VP not a Church Leader. I mean if I need a surgeon, I don't car care what church they go to , I only want to know is he/she an excellent surgeon.

Yes, they will not be opposing Romney that vote will be opposing Obama!  Even though the tragedy of America is on the hands of the Republicans.  I hope they will be able to bear it.  In my life I have found that they wasn't able to take the consequences of their actions.

I'm not too sure.  While it seems like he would be a good Vice President, it will look like John McCain sold out if he chooses him because they argued so much.
