I don't know... With a 70+ potential president and a 44 y/o female inexperienced potential vice-president --and potentially taking over presidency if McCain kicks the bucket... Where will this country head to ?!?!

  1. I really doubt you care about who has or doesn't have experience.  You just care that experience is the buzz word that the media's been using.

  2. Better than the alternatives.

  3. She would fit the bill as well as Obama would fit the bill.

  4. Don't worry about it.

Perhaps the most important aspect to this pick is that it was a reactive, desperate ploy. Obama began by playing the change music and now, after what is probably the best organized, most disciplined convention in Democratic Party history, McCain has to throw the long ball way down the field. Perhaps, Obama's true genius lay in giving the Clintons' both their due and yet putting his stamp on it at the end. It was a WOW!!

The only reason for this pick is an attempt by McCain to go for the disaffected Hillary vote.   Palin is no Hillary Clinton.  Women everywhere are insulted.  McCain doesn't respect women does he.

  5. Can you imagine someone that would be more disqualified than Bush.

  6. I am not concerned about her inexperience I am concerned about her abusing the office of President  and her far right views on everything.

  7. Yes - Palin is a Splendid choice and she will make a Wonderful VP (and future President)! It just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick & genius who picks likewise!

    Palin:

    * has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska)

    * is a vocal, huge proponent of American energy independence & Alaskan drilling

    * has actually been leading people for the past several while Obama & Biden NEVER have led anyone!

    * shelved her state's pork-laden Bridge to Nowhere that McCain has ridiculed on the trail

    * will join McCain in fighting hard against earmarks

    * is about as far outside the Beltway as you can get

    * ran on the agenda of stopping wasteful gov't spending

    * is the mother of 5 kids!

    * has had her son deploy to Iraq

    * is for a strong US defense

    * is an ice fisherman

    * is a moose hunter

    * is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member

All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Americana (Motherhood & Apple pie)!

    McCain/Palin '08

    Peace

  8. ya, I think that she would be better than O-BOMB-US. She is actually very intelligent and she has five kids. One of them is even autistic and this shows that she cares about people, and she would make a better pres. than our other choices.

  9. Before we are too quick to come to conclusions, let's give this woman a chance to let us know who she is. She comes with some excellent credentials that impress the heck out of me. No president acts alone, so there would be plenty of well-qualified leaders available should the need be there. I heard her name for the first time this morning. I plan on finding out more!

Thank you Wise One for sharing the info you know to be true. What a great, informational post!

  10. Sarah Palin has more experience than Barack Obama.

Her political career began in 1992 when she ran for city council.

She has served as a mayor for 6 years.

She has been governor of Alaska for 2 years.

In other words she has been a politician for 16 years and a leader for 8 years.

That's more experience than Obama's 2 years as a junior senator and 7 years as a state senator - 9 years altogether and no leading position.

The thought that Sarah Palin would become president if McCain died, concerns me far less than the thought that Obama might become president.

  11. Obama or Biden should not be President. OMG! That would be horrible for the country!

  12. If they was to win, I sure hope that doesn't happen, cause we would really be screwed. For it is still a mans world, and still not a lot of men, like women telling them what to do. Especially in some foreign countrys, could you imagine the middle east dealing with it.

  13. The United States of America, no matter who the next president is, is heading straight to h**l & i don't believe its going to rise at any point.

  14. No, but here is what a member of her own party said, a conservative Republican Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman, for once he got it exactly right: "If John McCain's campaign thinks he can get Hillary Clinton voters by choosing Palin it is condescending and insulting to women and it is a terrible political faux pax. You don't break through a glass ceiling because of gender or race, you do it on the basis of ability, experience, intelligence and judgment -- all qualities that Governor Palin either sorely lacks or has yet to demonstrate This is a stunt pick that is an insult to truly qualified women like Hillary Clinton or Kay Bailey Hutchison and, by extension, to all women"

  15. You need to can your ghoulish fascination with McCain croaking and tell us why you think Barack Obama is better qualified to be president than Sarah Palin is.

Your messianic cult of Obamanoids bleats like sheep whenever anyone questions if your candidate has the experience necessary to be president.  You have touted his foreign policy “experience” by citing the four years he spent in Indonesia as a child. You praised his “diplomacy” when he said he would sit down and negotiate with Iran without preconditions but remained silent when he then contradicted himself by saying, “I have never advocated negotiating with terrorists!”

Your candidate has less relevant experience than Sarah Palin has.  She, after all, has spent as much time (on the job) as governor and chief executive of the state of Alaska as Obama has spent as a junior senator from Illinois.  Now you express concern because Sarah Palin is a 44-year-old “female” who is “inexperienced.”  Are you a bit sexist?

As Joe Biden said last year, “The presidency does not lend itself to on-the-job training.”    So why is your neophyte Obama running for president?  Most successful people start at the bottom and work their way up.  It appears your messiah wants to start at the top and work his way down.

Your immaturity is showing, but that’s okay.  Your devotion is showing, too.

  16. Yes, absolutely.  However, John McCain is in great health, and we will not have to think so negatively.  Only a young, uneducated person who hasn't lived life yet, would think that way!

  17. Sure she would.. it is not like she will be all alone.. she is surrounded by advisers... For God's sake.. why do people think just because she is a woman that she could not manage..

Women have managed lots of things , for many years.. they can multi task better than men any day.  She would cope.. that is what women do.. they cope, they manage and they get on with it instead of sitting around whining like men.

Don't discount her just because she is a woman.

  18. It will head to where it heads with every single president who has ever sat in the oval office.  The team of highly trained and knowledgeable advisors, who actually make most of the decisions for our country.

  19. More qualify than the Obama, the community organizer.  Obama is best for the position of campaign manager.

  20. I think it is a very poor decision and she does not impress me as someone who would be ready to take over. Maybe she is the bomb as a leader, but she just came out of the woodwork to me, so I don't know anything about her. A mother of 5 children, who will raise them? They will be nanny kids; a kind of strange approach for "family values". A normal family functioning is hard work enough!

  21. she is as or more qualified than obama.

  22. well she has more experience than obama for sure so if she isn't qualified then obama is definitely not

  23. She is amazing.  I am sure she would do better than we have had in decades.  I had read about her a very long time ago!!! I was really impressed and now I am in shock that she got the VP!

  24. down the tubes, he did the nation a favor, he can't win

  25. Duh - being a woman myself I find it an insult. She may be a nice lady/wife/mother, but excuse me city council and mayer of a small town and governor of our last frontier state, what did she govern, bears, wolves, moose, snow and drunks. If anything happens to McCain how is she going to answer the phone at 3am, plus has a 5 months old Downs Syndrome baby, maybe someone will take care of that phone call for her. We will be the laughing stock of the world.Give me a break. What was he thinking. Must be the OIL!

  26. Why did John McCain use the same selection process for VP as he did with his second wife?

  27. Thanks. You just made the case against Obama, and we don't need anyone to die!

  28. She would do just fine. She is not a politician but a real person with real ideas, passion, and a no-nonsense attitude about what she is all about and where she is going.

Where will this country head to if Palin has to fill the shoes as President? The better question is where will this country head to if Obama is elected President? I shudder to think of him as President.

  29. A great nation  with a great Lady as  a President...i  don't  doubt  about it...She  won't  be  alone  is  allot  people   that will  support her too...A  great  husband too. Not a  cheating husband...Got  it?

  30. Some time as mayor of a tiny town & a cupla years as Gov of a state that is mostly ice & moose?

Sure!  What better training would the leader of the free world need?

  31. Palin admits she doesn't even know what the VP does so that hardly qualifies her to be Commander in Chief and leader of the free world.
