How refreshing it would be to have an elected official who was not a Washington insider and has a track record of actually fighting corruption on both sides of the isle; not to mention that she can get things done rather than just talk about them.

But in truth, the party would decide who would go on to represent their organization in the general election. I notice you didn't mention that McCain's mother is alive and well; is that irrelevant to your argument?.

And you neglected to mention that both Obama's birth parents died at young ages. Older folks don't have the market corned on death.

I don't know what these people are smoking but look at Obama's records and Palin's records and you will see Obama has far more experience than Palin does...not to mention he graduated from Harvard,Columbia,Occidental and what does she have? Idaho. Gimme a break.

I am not suprised he chose a woman. Unfortunately all thre republican governors had less than 6 years of experience as governor. There are three female Republican senators who have won at least two senate elections. The two senators with only one election are not suitable. Elizabeth Dole is actually a few weeks older than John McCain, and why choose a junior senator from Alaska if you can have the governor.

No they won't. Palin's two year experience running a state that has more wildlife than people and whose problems are so different than those in the lower 49 state that it might as well be a foreign country will not translate well for being President of the United States.

I'm close to McCain's age. It's totally realistic to think that people in our age bracket have sudden health issues that kill or make us unable to think clearly.  People need to take this question seriously.
