Even Obama's Harshest critic of the very recent past loved him and the work he did. Check out this video of their praise of McCain.

  1. McCain himself is a good guy. My fear is that he has gotten himself lured into the neocon's grip due to the fact that, as long as they control The White House (along with all of the resources that come with it), they will control the Republican candidate and what they can do (hence..Sarah Palin on the ticket as "insurance").

If the Republicans, that is if there are any "normal ones" left, want to clean up the Republican party, they must lose the White House, thus destroying the Neocon dynasty.

Since they won't do it...we are doing them a favor by defeating them.

I know...but you don't have to thank us.

More importantly we are saving McCain's reputation and possibly his life.

The Neocons simply have to go or the Republicans will drive us all into the ground.

  2. In their hearts, they know that he would be the best president for AMERICA.

He's just not the best president for THEM.

The problem is the he would force them to COMPROMISE.

They don't want to do that.

If they start giving up on their social welfare programs, they won't have anything to bribe voters with in future elections.

    The Democrats LIKE problems.

They prefer to live in the problems, not in the solutions.

They get more votes and power that way.

  3. You made your own case.  People don't hate him, they just say things they think they have to for votes.

  4. I don't think anyone thinks he is bad. I think that people are worried that he will not try to help change the problems that the country is currently facing in this country. He is too concerned about the past and is not worrying about the problems facing us in the future.

  5. he's not a bad person... just a bad politician...

you can be a nice guy and bad at doing something...

I'm a football fan... I like the Steelers... I like the QB Ben Rothlesburger...

but just because I like him and think he's a good guy... I still wouldn't want him doing brain surgery on me...

"nice guy" doesn't equal "will do a good job"

  6. AS a young man McCain served his country with nobility. That is separate from where he is today.

He deserves credit for past service whether or not we agree with him now.

Personally, I think that that credit should include a full pension for his service and a first class plane ticket back to Arizona, or to whichever of his wife's house's she is staying in at the moment

  7. How true, how true.

Which raises the question, why do Conservatives all of a sudden love him?

Either he is telling the truth to you guys now, in which case he is another Bush.  And George W. Bush is at least as bad for Conservatives as he is for Liberals.

He spends like crazy, is in the pocket of Big Business (at the expense of the Middle Class and Small Business), is a warmonger (but has no war sense), and has expanded government to levels never seen before (even under Clinton and Carter).

So if McCain is telling the truth to you guys now, he's very bad for you as a Conservative.

And if he is lying to you now, you should be really p*ssed off.  He's lying to you.  He's using you.

Either way, you should be less concerned with how Liberals feel about McCain, and start worrying about which way he is going to wind up s******g you guys.

Either he is with us or with Bush, but either way he is saying he is not with you.

  8. because he supported amnesty, and the Dems saw the potential for new voters.
