I have heard this story about Romney saving the Olympics from financial ruin are absolutely not true but I didn't pay attention to the story because he was out of the race at the time....He has a number of sons who said haven't joined the military because they are supposed to be helping the country by helping him get elected. That just isn't going to work compared to Biden who has a son being deployed Oct 3rd to Iraq...he wears magic underwear, that is about as odd to most Ameicans as taking off in a space ship & drinking poisen kool-aid...I don't know much about him. Right now I want to focus on what problems there are cause republicans are good at hiding things. McCain doesn't know who he bought his houses from or atleast he says so but I bet he has bought hundreds from people who have lost them cause that is what the republicans I know are doing.

  1. I hope the 'magic underwear'  bit doesn't get overplayed.  Yes, Mormons do wear special undergarments that have ritual significance.  Wearing clothes with religious significance is common in many faiths and really shouldn't be an issue.

What will be an issue?  Like McCain, Romney is a prodigious flipper who has changed his position on dozens of issues to rebrand himself from a progressive New England Republican to a conservative national Republican.  The Mormon thing will be a problem for many evangelical Christians.  Whether you consider it a cult or not, it is quite accurate to say that Mormon beliefs have real conflicts with Orthodox mainstream Christianity.  And he bases his appeal partially on his career in business, but much of that career seems to have consisted in being an 'efficiency' expert who specialized in either eliminating jobs or shipping them out of the US to low wage countries.

  2. 1. Romney would alienate the democrats and independents... but no worries McCain doesn't like Romney anyway.

    2. McCain isn't in charge of the money OR the houses, that would be Cindy or more likely a team of financial planners in the case of investment real estate.

    3. The housing crisis is a fairly new occurrence and the McCains have likely owned the various properties longer then that.

    4. The majority of the people that lost their properties in the value range that the McCains would be interested in, lost them because they were living well beyond their means and were up to their eyeballs in debt, kinda hard for me to feel sorry for them, if this is actually the case.

    5. I'm sure there are just as many wealthy democrats taking advantage of the situation as republicans if they are in a position to do so.

  3. I think you lost all the rational people with the magic underwear part lol

    Grow up kid

    McCain 08

  4. the christian vote

  5. Well, probably the biggest problemw would be economic.

You see, Romney is best known as a businessman who was quite adept at making a profit.  In fact, he based most of his campaign on how he was going to balance the budget.

So if he should join the ticket, he's going to have the difficult duty of telling McCain just how worthless McCain's economic plan is.  How do you tell the guy you're running with his plan will lead straight to Depression?

And McCain was around for the first one very soon after birth, so you'd think he'd be more worried than anyone else about having to end his life the same way he started his life--in Depression...

  6. The magic underwear thing still has me still freaking out.  He truly belongs to a cult.
