If we're better off, doesn't that mean what we're doing now is working.

Listen to McCain say it himself (28 sec)

  1. Does he know the average income went down $2000 in the last 8 years?  And it went up $7500 during Clinton's terms?  Then again, if your wife wears $300,000 outfits, you don't care about how much money people have.  Out of touch....out of his mind.

  2. McCain is using fuzzy logic.

  3. Obviously the American people don't think we are better off than we were 8 years ago.  "W" is the most unpopular president in the history of the Republic.  And if you think he is unpopular in the US, consider how he is perceived around the world!

McCain has made himself the natural successor to "W", and at the same time, realized how unpopular that legacy is.  He is in a difficult position.  At the same time, Obama is shouting about "Change", as if he were really going to change anything.  If he were not on the same sheet of music as McCain, he wouldn't be where he is.

Forget about "change".  We need a return to Constitutional government.  We need to see government reduced to it's Constitutional functions, and our freedoms restored.  Electing fools like Obama and McCain will only continue the policies we have been enjoying for many decades.

  8. Good point, Grasshopper. You are correct - you can't have it both ways.

  9. Assuming for the sake of discussion that things are better ( which is of course arguable definitely that why i said for the sake of argument ) that doesnt mean that things are where they ought to be and that they cant be improved  upon.

  10. McCain is stealing lines from Obama now and I'm tired of the stock market being down and inflation being high.

    Hopefully this is true:

"But here's Wall Street's strange little irony -- studies show the stock market performs better and tends to be less volatile when Democrats are in power."

  13. Because a politic will say and do whatever they have to do to get your vote.

The true challenge for a politic that if for the people is not what they do and say to win the votes, it's what they do after they've won the election. Talk is cheap, it takes action
