Apparently no one sees the danger of electing someone with a hair-trigger temper. If he is elected I hope he is buffered by people who swiftly weigh options before reacting.

  1. Harry K stole my thunder.  He is 100% correct.

  2. You mean like now when his first thought was to go to war>

  3. easily, the same as most any other president

  4. I agree with K and I'm afraid if/when Obama gets elected..he will be tested...most likely by Al Qaeda.  Let's all hope/pray he is up to the challenge the way Kennedy was.

  5. If McCain won the Presidency in 1960, there would have been no Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Crisis was due to the fact that Khrushchev viewed Kennedy as a lightweight. He thought he was young, inexperienced and was elected on a cult of personality. He though he could take advantage of him.

If a more senior, experienced, actual leader was elected in 1960, there would have been no crisis.

Lets hope history doesn't repeat itself.

  6. since that was a time which all americans supported their country in it's actions i think so.
