  1. I suggest you read more on stem cell research, you don't have to kill the embryo to get a stem cell.

  2. well it's still better than infantcide canidate.

  3. Aren't you smart.  Lets see, abortion kills, stem cells save lives.  Reeves was pro life and wanted stem cell, Reagan same.  Obviously you do not know anyone with Parkinson's or a degenerated and diseased disc.

  4. that is interesting still its better than Obama

    pro life

    McCain 08

  5. I oppose killing anyone who has the potential to live, including the embryos stem cells are taken from.  I understand those who share that view but feel that it makes no sense to protect the unborn from being killed for medical research if the absence of a right to life amendment means they will be killed anyway.

Dumping them down a drain not only denies them the potential to live, it also denies them the potential to be part of some cure or medical research leading to a cure.

I want them protected by a law that makes it illegal to kill them.  Without such a law, it makes little difference if they are killed in research or simply discarded.

I'm not voting for McCain, but I don't hold his stem cell vote against him much.

I would be interested in knowing who you plan to vote for.  Right now I'm leaning toward writing in Joe Schirner ( http://www.VoteForJoe.com ) but I'm interested in learning about other prolife candidates.

  6. wow. you are ignorant. it doesn't make you a baby killer.

stem cells save lives, dipsh*t. my god.

go read a book or something

  7. because he is not a man of integrity and will do anything, and I mean anything, to win this election.  You cannot believe anything he says or anything he does.

  8. John McCain absolutely believes life begins at conception, and stem cell research undoubtedly destroys a human embryo. That should lead him to believe that stem cell research kills a living human being. According to HIS stated beliefs he is sanctioning murder for the advancement of science. How can you be truly pro life, if you support embryonic stem cell research, war, unrestricted gun ownership, and the death penalty? The simple answer is you can't. The truth is that John McCain supports taking life more often than he supports saving it.

  9. stem cells are taken from cord blood after the baby is born......dumbass

im pro obama....but god d**n the idiocy on both sides here...

  10. Get it right, now...This is from YOUR link...Let me translate it for you:

"Referring to recent reports that researchers have reprogrammed mature adult human skin cells to produce embryonic-like stem cells, McCain said he believes "skin stem cell research has every potential very soon of making" the issue of embryonic stem cell research "academic." "

That first part means that they can now produce embryonic-LIKE stem cells (usually from umbylical cord cells, which have proven to be effective for many medical purposes, and do not destroy a fetus..but now also from adult skin tissue), which will make the embryonic stem cell issue purely acedemic, meaning that it wouldn't be necessary to actually use an embryo, so the issue would no longer BE an issue.

    Now, for the next part:

"He said that his decision to support embryonic stem cell research was "one of the toughest" he has had to make, adding that one reason he favors the research is "those embryos will be either discarded or kept in permanent frozen status.""

This part means, when he had made his decision to support embryonic stem cell research in the first place, embryos were simply being thrown away, when they could potentially help to save lives...Which would at least make their brief existence worth SOMETHING to someone.

Note how he said it was "one of the toughest decisions" he has ever had to make...He put a LOT of thought into it...And now he can be sure that no embryos will be deliberately created or killed solely for the purpose of stem cell research.

I hope that I explained it in a way that it's easier to understand.

EDIT: Your second link is from 2001...It's terribly outdated and science has made HUGE advances since then...The destruction of fetuses is no longer necessary.

  11. shooosh! they hate it when you show them his voting record!

no but really,if he is in favor of stem cell research that kinda makes me want to vote for him

  12. Not that you want a reasonable answer.

You can believe that life begins at conception.

However, if the embryos are going to be thrown in the garbage (Unused from in-vitro) doesn't it make sense to do something useful with them?
