Question:

If Michael Jordan is the greatest...then how come?

It took him 7 years (10 years if he came outta highschool like Kobe) to finally learn how to win?

He did'nt even come close to winning the most championship's?

He could'nt lead powerhouse UNC to the final 4?

when he retired the Bulls still won 55 games and were a top 5 team?

without Pippen he never won 55 games and never was a contender?

could'nt even lead the Wizards to the playoff's in the WEAK EAST?

  1. Yes, finally some1 that has some knowledge. Look, MJ is probably the greatest player of all time. But Kobe deserves way more recognition. Without Pippen, what has MJ done? Without Shaq, what has Kobe done? He got to the NBA Finals. Finally man, some1 here that can post these types of questions and fail those MJ jockers. Do you have a YouTube profile? 2. Did you say without Pippen MJ never had a .500 season? I remember the Bulls making it to the playoffs without Pippen...and another thing, Jordan himself said that he couldnt win by himself, which is why he suggested drafting Pippen in the first place... Learn your history.... And as I recall, when u have a team, each player makes the others better, Pippen wasnt some God that just came and made Jordan who he was, and I wont say Jordan did that for Pippen, they were both extremely talented and excelled playing alongside each other... You cant just look at stats, they mean nothing, and even if u did, MJ's stats would blow u out the water... And last I checked, 6 championships is right on up there with the most titles one individual player has won in his playing days... And you also stated the 90's were watered down...and you are comparing it to when? the 80's? When only Bird and Magic ever really had a shot at a title? This age of basketball now is watered down, the 90's were real... Hand-checkin was allowed, which meant jordan had to work twice as hard as a lets say Kobe bryant does now to get his shot off...You had a young Shaq, David robinson, hakeem olajuwon,Anthony mason, mutombo, ewing, moses malone, an aging mchale, rodman, Zo, laimbeer, lets not forget karl malone and charles barkley...I may have a few of the powerful big men off, but these guys would dominate in any age of basketball... Barkley always tried to kill whoever defended or tried to score against him, shaq was still in his Rim-Breaking Days, and Mutombo and the rest were blocking shots left and right...I didnt even name the guards...and you said it was watered down? You really need to read your history books

  3. mustangsjj ........LMFAO!!!!! ........hahahahahahahhahahahaha!!!!!

Who the h**l do you think helped make Jordan so OVER-RATED you FOOL!

You need to go back to bed you PANSY @ss Jordan Jocker!

You blocked me cause you can't hang with the KING!!!!!!

    _____________

    Hey Tyler

You keep forgetting to put that asterick next to the 2003 All Star Game ( Jordan was NOT selected to play in that game by the fans OR coaches - the media pressured the league to let him play ).

I hope this doesn't ruin your night ....LMFAO!!!

Wait a minute ....I'm on the toilet ....KERPLUNK! ...sorry, I had to take a Tyler J .....d**n! That's some funky S**t ...I mean that's some funky "Tyler J ".....LMAO!!!!

  4. You are obviously too young and arrogant to have seen MJ play on a daily bases. I was a huge bull follower as was everyone during the Jordan days and seeing him play everyday would quickly explain to you why he was the most dominant player ever. He took over games whenever he wanted, all without chucking 30 horrible shots and hoping they go in. He had great percentages throughout his career and was unstoppable up close. You don't understand the type of game basketball was during Russel's days. It was filled with VERY untalented white dudes that couldn't play basketball for their life. NBDL type talent AT BEST, and that's being sincere. Russel talent is equivalent to todays very poor man Carol Boozer. You are obviously a Kobe fan and think Vince Carter is one of the greatest players, because you are arrogant beyond ones belief. Seeing is believing and obviously reading Michael's wikipedia page and finding out that Pippen and his bulls won 55 without Michael and calling him overrated is something you would not be doing today if you watched the Chicago Bulls in the 90's. I like Kobe as a player but watching Kobe in this year finals, its hard to even compare his talent with Michaels. Jordan's best team wasn't as talented as the Lakers were with Gasol, and Odom and how talented they will be with Bynum.

  5. Dude. dont be retarted. Ill prove my point

    BTW HE WON 6 TITLES

Teams: Chicago Bulls (1984-93, 1995-98), Washington Wizards (2001-03)

    Titles: 6 (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998)

    Honors: 14-time All-Star, 5-time MVP (1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998), 6-time Finals MVP, Rookie of the Year (1985), Defensive Player of the Year (1988)

The player: The standard by which all other players are measured.

Air Jordan was the most skilled, most athletic, toughest, meanest, most inspirational and most competitive of all the shooting guards who have ever played the game. He dominated both ends of the floor. He also was the biggest winner and perhaps the greatest clutch player in history.

The credentials -- and pictures -- speak for themselves: six championship rings, five MVP awards, six Finals MVP awards, one defensive POY award. And his career numbers were otherworldly, most notably 32,292 points (third all time) and a 30.1 points per game scoring average (first). Oh, and he averaged 20 points and six rebounds as a 40-year-old! Only his last two seasons in Washington kept him from shooting more than 50 percent for his career.

Jordan had no real weaknesses; he mastered every facet of the game. He dominated a big man's game and was the leader of the only dynasty in NBA history that did not feature a dominant center.

On top of all that, he helped make the NBA a global game. From his trademark tongue wag to his game-winning shot in the 1998 NBA Finals, MJ was the most electrifying player ever to step on a court.

The greatest player of all time.

I don't even need to answer your stupid questions...let the stats speak for ththemselves

"and according to Jordan Jockers he won those titles with a bunch of scrubs...when in FACT he had a stacked team!...that made HIM (MJ) better."

name me some stars that won a championship by THEMSELF

"Tyler...name some stars that retired and thier teams only had a 2 game dropoff!, won 55 games, and made a deep playoff run?....and they replaced MJ with a CBA player!...

    name one?.......

    you just got PWNED!.........2EZ!"

not really...who cares about a good record? the only thing that matters is winning a CHAMPIONSHIP...something that DIDNT happen when MJ left...

also, who cares if Bill has more rings? Robert Horry has lots of rigns as well. are you saying that he's better then Kobe, and Shaq?

"he won 6 titles in the waterd down 90's!...."

LOL Bill played against NOBODY...a bunch of scrubs...only a couple players were dominant then...at least MJ had good competition.

    "Tyler J

You need to go back to bed you PANSY @ss Jordan Jocker!"

King, your retarded...Kobe is my favorite player EVER...always has, and always will be. Just because I like Kobe that doesn't mean I have to hate MJ.

Okay, what is the point of this? To prove that MJ is over rated (which you haven't done) or to prove that Kobe is better?

Like I said, Kobe is my favorite player.

  14. ooo smack this questions about to start some trouble.

  15. Dude...take it easy on the posts.  You must be obsessed with MJ.  I never seen anybdoy post this much to try and prove a point.  You must have nightmares about mj jockers in your sleep.  Your avatar is hilarious.  Love it.

  16. Asks 100 people if they know Michael Jordan?

99% of those will say," Yeah, he was the greatest, the best, my IDOL."

    Take that as a hyperbole.

  17. Okay your Point is you dont like MJ

  18. Wow I haven't been on this site in awhile and see that you are still "STUPID"!... Get over it Alpha Wolf and get a life! You're going to be on here your entire life trying to prove to Yahoo Answers that MJ isn't the greatest!

    GET A LIFE FOOL!

  19. No athlete had becomed the ICON nor had the global effect like MJ. Ali in boxing was close but MJ took it to a level where stats didn't even matter.

I can't say that he is the greatest of all time but he owned the 90's  with 6 rings in 8 years 2- three peats, scoring titles, shoes that peole were getting killed over. that is one h**l of a player. even in retirement he is poster child of the ultra player. he is knowned around the world.

  20. *yawn*

  21. so in other words...you want hime to win championships all by himself???

    1 on 5????

    poor question

  22. YOU MAY SLANT THE QUESTIONS ANY WAY YOU WANT,BUT TRYING TO PROVE MJ BAD JUST PROVES YER AN IGNORANT BASKETBALL FAN..YOU TELL ME SOMETHING! IF HE SUCKS SO MUCH HOW COME YOUVE BEEN ON HERE TALKING ABOUT HIM AD NAUSEUM?HES RETIRED THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO LISTEN TO WHAT YOU SAY ARE LITTLE BOY KOBE FANS.PEOPLE WITH REAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE GREATEST GAME EVER INVENTED ALREADY KNOW WHO THE BEST IS

  23. He was the greatest player ever because if you saw the team he had when he first arrived I think it was worse then many college teams. You cant judge a player by his college roots because look at many great NBA players that dont have good or any kind of college experience and this list is long. The reason why he is the greatest ever when ever it came to the 4th quarter he was unbeleivable. His teams werent good until his end of his careers. Many of them were no namers. His fellow team mates got big free agent contracts and then ended up riding the bench on other teams. He would literally get triple teamed and he would still be able to score. Ye pippen is an amazing Role player. He played amazing defense and set jordan up. But not once did Pippen ever hit a big shot with under 30 seconds left.
