How often would he need to use the bath room? Would this be dangerous on his heart to have to work so much processing so much fuel?

  1. My guess is that his metabolism is extremely high after years of intensive training. His body takes a lot more damage during practice and burns what little body fat he maintains. Therefore, he needs a lot more protein / fat to repair muscles and replenish fat stores. Not to mention a boat load of carbohydrates to refuel and stock up for the next practice. I hate to speculate regarding the bath room angle, but my guess is that it's probably pretty normal, considering his body puts much of what he eats to use.

  2. He burns over 4,000 calories in one workout....and his usual swim day consists of two work outs....one in the morning one in the evening...that's a swimmers life, and in between are free weights.   He wouldn't go to the bathroom any more than anyone else....his body ABSORBS the food for fuel to swim......now if we ate like that we would be rotund fatties in about 1 month....and they already stated that his body is in such superior condition, that his heart pumps blood 8 times faster than the usual male. I don't know what the other athletes numbers would be, but anyone that does that type of training for 12 years of your life DAILY--is like the bionic man or woman.......my daughters swam, junior olympics since they were 6 years old....I'm glad I don't have to feed them anymore because they would eat like a man.......again, they swam 3 hours a day.....

  3. wel he needs to eat that much.....he needs to consume so many calories to be able to swim his practices.....he probably burns about 2 thousand calories in an hour of swim practice. he practices 5-6 lours a day so he needs all that energy to swim his best. i swim like 3 hours a day and after practive i feel like like c**p and eat like 3 plates of food.

  4. if a regular person like you ate 12000 cal. then u would die. but for him its not that much

  5. i don't know about the bathroom habits, but because of the athlete that he is, his body's burning up those calories pretty quick, and i'm guessing unless he has a heart condition, his heart should be just fine with the intake because the nutrients are being used by his body wisely.
