  1. if wall of illusion is facedown and its destroyed by mystic swordsman, then the player with mystic swordsman didnt cause wall of illusion to be faceup, so mystic swordsman wont return to the hand

wall of illusion's effect requires it 2 b faceup or become faceup when attacked, but neither of those happen in this scenario

  2. The Wall of Illusion was not flipped because of Mystic Swordsman's effect. That means the Wall of Illusion would be destroyed and would not get the effect. Mystic Swordsman says something around "destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation.

  3. mystic swordsman did not actually attack and destroy wall of illusion. it did attack wall but its effect will destroy wall (its effect does not destroy face-down monsters in battle), so wall's effect never activated and mystic swordsman stays on the field

  4. Your answer is kinda correct, but here's a better one:

Mystic Swordsmen destroy face down monsters WITHOUT flipping them face up or calculating damage, so if Wall of Illusion was NOT FLIPPED, your Mystic Swordsman does not return to your hand. It counts as if it were sent to the Graveyard face down and was never flipped.

    Hope I helped.
