  1. i'm surprised that there are no races in mississippi, louisiana, colorado, or anywhere in the northwest.

i've heard rumors in the past about them building (or refusing to build) a track near seattle (the nhra goes there, as well as to denver...)  i'd go, especially as i have friends relatives there.  those friends' and relative's places might become a necessity considering how likely it is that the race might be rained out...  i think that would serve seattle, tacoma, portland, and other cities in those states, as well as fans from vancouver and even alaska well.

and there have also been rumors about construction of a speedway somewhere in the new york/new jersey metropolitan areas (or maybe they are more than rumors) ... i'd fly out from socal to see a race there, and visit nyc at the same time.

ps. lenny d, they manage to run nhra in seattle - just have to go for a summer date and it should be ok two out of three years... ;-)

  2. Mississippi (lot of fans down south and they don't have one)

Kentucky (big time support there also)

  3. Nashville because Nascar and Country music go with each other

Washington becuase Biffle has been trying to get one built there since its his home state

  4. There have been rumors around the pits, that Austin, Tx has put in a bid to get a track there....and would be called

    Sam Houston Raceway...............

    would be nice

and the other state would be build one in New York...

  5. Wayyyyy to much rain in Seattle..................Other than that it is WIDE open!!!

  6. Jersey was supposed to get one a few years back. An engineer/surveyor I know did the layout. The permits from the state were in place, County, Parkway Authority...

Then the town decided they didn't want "that element" in their town. There were plans to build a hotel, restaurants, campgrounds, etc.

I thin a Midwest track would be cool (cold?) Like North Dakota, right outside the Canadian border.

  7. Alaska (see the mountains, etc in the background) and Rhode Island (they could just do 10 laps around the state)

  8. 1. NE between NYC and Boston

    2. NW between Seattle and Portland (take one of the Cali races since both are half full at best)

No tracks to compete with for either which would bring in new fans instead of taking fans from existing tracks.

  9. colorado and utah with the mormons

  10. Wisconsin and Missouri.  Look at how popular racing is in both of those states and how many NASCAR drivers are from them.  Racing needs a stronger presence in the midwest, where it is very popular and races sell out.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  11. New Jersey - Where i live

    Montana

  12. Ohio would be great! It's a pain to get in and out of Michigan and Pocono is just to far.

Other than that the Northwest would be great.  They don't even have one nearby that is hard to get in and out of!

  13. Kentucky since the track is there already and i have to say Ohio since we need one

  14. Ohio because it's my state and. . .New York I guess, cause a lot of people would go.

  15. Colorado and Wisconsin

*please note James, I live in Utah, I'm not mormon, only 60% of the state is now lds*

I'd love a track here, but I think other states would fair better..

  16. I would like to build one in Wisconsin and Iowa because there are no real Nascar tracks that are close to us. IL has one but it is a pain to get in and out of.

  17. Oklahoma, they'd have so much fun down there. Hawaii, best place to take in a race while on vacation. I'd also like to see them red flag the race due to a volcano erupting.

  18. Western Washington is too rainy and uncooperative even though there are a lot of race fans there. Maybe a neighboring state like Idaho, up by Canada not southern with the moromns. Utah wouldn't go for it either. Colorado is a pretty state but I never saw much nascar fans there. I am from California and don't love either of the Cal. tracks. Sears Point is interesting but not great racing
