I say the US lets the EU handle it it is in their back yard. Every time something needs to be done it is always America then the left says it is our faults so the Euros can deal with it I am done protecting them and then getting blamed for it.

the undertakers would'nt do too badly out of it!!!! the russians have a large army navy and airforce and if backed by china and other eastern maniacs that would be a very large force for the west /nato to deal with! but thats where Quality comes in against Quantity the west have the most awsome weaponry and would soon thin out the chinese and russians force but the infantry would still be a force to deal with. thats why the west have the best trained military ever.if ever the us dollers & oil was going to run dry alonbg with man power, its will be  the day when nato and europe go to war against the east!!! the best way to save money and recorses is to use nukes1 treid and tested on japan to full effect

Russia's non-nuclear forces are in pathetic shape.  NATO is really only the USA, the UK and whatever Foreign Legion forces the French would commit to the battle.  The rest of NATO aren't much more than cheese merchants.

China would back Russia until the US threatened a total trade embargo.  Iran would back Russia and that would give the US an opening to flatten them.

NATO would win, but it would be very, very, very costly in money, lives and equipment.

If its just Russia, NATO would kick Russia's butt and if wasnt for China,NorthKorea,and Iran im pretty sure NATO would of already declared war agaisnt Russia. Theres to many complications if we attakced russia. Besides the U.S, U.K, China, and Russia would just beat the h**l out of each other. There wouldnt be a valid reason to go to war unless you want more land.

If this whole Georger* thing escalates i believe the USA will be forced to respond and if that does happen it will be the start of the beggining.

lets just say USA and russia go to war, at first knowone will back Russia and at first knowone will back the USA anywho obviously the UK will be on guard for backup for the USA but we will not go directly to war with them we will just lend them a few troop support (you know for lets just say 'better ground fighting') After about 4 months of fighting and heavy casualties for both sides Russia will think about changing tactics eg bringing Iran into it (becouse with the USA and UK forces they dont stand a chance. After that well then thats wear the Nuclear threats start coming into it (Its the Cuban Missile Crises all over again) But this time on a larger scale and from there the UK will be destroyed, thats after we destroy Iran and then USA followed Very closely by Russia THE END. ps NATO will not do anything major in this thay will simply sit back and watch the West and East being slowly killede of so that after NATO countries runs the world (whats left of it anyway)

the only way that Nato would have faced russia in that era is to trigger alarms over nuclear attacks, specially that russia concentrated over nuclear tech that lead to it;s unstability, i am no expert i am 14 but i would say that if that war was triggered then 3/4 of the world population would be suffering from the aftermath of the nuc war
