  1. No, he'll win that point, then get into tie break, where Nadal will miss the point to give it to Federer, but that would only give Fed that set.  Nadal would have to keep choking to give Federer a best of 5 on clay.

  2. Nadal loves clay and the clay loves Nadal, that kind of so symbiotic relationship I find hard to think that even if Nadal chokes like John Terry and Fed gets lucky like Manchester United that Fed will finally win the French. I found it too strange to find out Nadal was behind 0-4 and 1-5 to Fed that Fed couldn't serve out the match, and this is even true with Nadal and Djoko, he was also left behind 0-3 but he finally made a remarkable comeback to win 7-5. I think Fed was lucky enough but he still lost the match.  Dr. D I suggest that a mathematical analysis of Nadal's game and the elements of clay to figure out and define this magnificent mystery.

  3. It's the French Open for God's sake, Rafa wouldn't choke... He's pretty determined in defending his title...

  4. yes no question..fed knows how important this title is for him and his not gonna mess it up.. if nadal does choke, then fed will take advantage of that opportunity

  5. Hello

    Fedral will win the Cup

  6. Sure.

  7. Of course.  Anything is possible.  If Terry hadn't missed the pen kick, Ronaldo would have been the talk of the final.  Just like if Rafa slips on match point, Roger could come back and win if they meet in the finals :)

  8. Well, Federer needs a whole lot more luck than Manchester United inorder to beat Rafa. I would have to say something like Wimby finals of 2007, where Roger could take him out. Roger always says at the Press Conference that he can beat Rafa, but needs to believe in his mind and heart too that he can beat Rafa. Roger will not and cannot beat Rafa all the time, but he can do it once and it has to be at at RG. I would have to say Roger needs a better strategy, play out of his mind and expect a little more luck than MU. Go Rogi !

  9. Nadal is the KING OF CLAY!! If there is any choking going on, it's Federer chocking on his tears of losing.

  10. nope i don't think fed will win the french this year.. its not goin to happen...

  11. Rafa wont choke :) The French is his yet again !!!

    Vamos Rafa x*x

  12. Nope. Look at Hamburg. Nadal was in danger of losing his no. 2 ranking, Federer was up a set and a break, and the guy who choked was Federer. I kinda want Federer to win all the Slams, but looking extremely unlikely at this point.

  13. Nope! Glory United!!!

  14. I'm counting on it. The tennis world will finally be at one with the Universe. And like Man U, Fed is also the greatest in his sport.

  15. poor terry, that kick will always rise up from the grave everytime people talks about uefa. but that's not going to happen with rafa. he is the king of the clay. terry blamed it on wet russian grass but the clay at RF will never betray nadal. if you ask if djokovic will choke, he won't either. he will just look for a chance to quit and blame it on a sore throat.

  16. nope, not this year but i would like to see that happen one day

  17. I don't think the comparison is valid. In penalty shootout's you make a mistake and that could cost you the match (what happened yesterday), however tennis is not like that. You get several chances, although the mistake in tennis could come back to haunt you.

Comparing a batsman in cricket and the football could be a valid comparison, since a batsman needs to make just 1 mistake to get out and that could cost the team the match... and such things have happened a lot in cricket.

  18. even if nadal doesn't choke! federer will still win! and if federer wins, nadal will go "AGAIN" to his "pretentious injury reenactment!"

  19. Dr. D I knw for sure u love FEDERER more then anything lol but please let him just play and lose some too he needs that and we do need some good change.

  20. But, of course.

  21. Because of Nadal's dominance there, the title really needs to come through him for Federer to be considered a viable French Open champion. If Rafa chokes before playing Roger, there will be constant questions as to whether Roger won it just because the best clay courter was put out early.

Now if Rafa chokes AGAINST Roger or if Roger straight out beats him, then that will put most of the question to bed...at least until next year. Any player can have a great tournament.

So, bottom line is yes, Roger can win the French Open and I don't believe it would be luck if he did. Roger is a formitable clay court player. But he really needs to handle Nadal in order to solidify the title.

  22. Nope, Nadal will win the French. He's not a choker as bad as John Terry (I doubt if he's a choker at all). He'll make his critics eat their words. He's the king of clay.

BTW, I was really, really gutted after the Champions League final. Let down by the captain after he defended with all the resilience of wartime Italy! But at least I didn't break down like the rest of my friends did, though I came very close.

I tell them all the same thing: There is always next year.
