  1. Now if that happens, Nadal will be the one being watched to break all records set by past & previous greats in tennis.

The focus & attention will now be set on his matches, same as when Fed rules & reigned.

Comparisons will be the topics in sports news & magazines.

Fed on grass while Rafa on clay.

That will be equally amazing as well.

    Vamos, El Rafa

  2. Truley he would be the number 1 player in the world.

But if he does the same on hard court hes done every other year I'd still say Federer was number 1.

  3. The best- which he is anyway. Vamos Rafa

  4. he would become world number one and all the attention and pressure would fall on him to win the aussie and get the carrer slam

  5. he should be no. 1 then

  6. If he won, then he would challenge Federer for the best tennis player ever since he's beaten Federer this year at Wimbledon on grass and has won the French Open on clay. A major on the hard court would put him ahead of Federer in some respects.

  7. That would make him the #1 Men's player in tennis and the new King of the Courts taking over Roger's crown.

.........Old Royal Family vs. New Royal Family

    Former King.....Pete  ....................Roger

    King - ..............Roger  ...................Rafa

    Prince- ............Rafa    .....................Marat

Court Jester-....Novak ...................Novak ... somethings never change

But I don't think King Roger is ready to abdicate the thrown just yet though.

  8. he'd be no.1 although he is my no.1 because he's the best at this moment I'm sure ...vamos Rafa!! tú puedes= Yes,you can!! haha (i'm spanish too ) byeee!

  9. If he wins the US Open this year, it would be a huge exaggeration to call him one of the 'Greatest of All Time'...

It'd be more realistic just to say that he has had the best year out of everybody.

Nadal has never done incredibly well on hard courts.  It is known that by this time of the year (and due to the hard court surface), his knees will be put through their toughest test...

Plus, the style of his game is much better suited for slower surfaces than fast.

Although Nadal is on a roll, the overwhelming favourites would still probably be Federer (who might make it 5 US Opens in a row) or last year's runner-up, Djokovic.

  10. That would make him the number one player in the world, and the new king of men's tennis... if he isn't already that.

  11. I would make that he's a more complete player than Federer, though Federer is better than him.

  12. He has improved his hard court play but it's not particularly outstanding to put him as a surefire win, he just pulled out of his hard court tournament with a knee injury, but he's got a good chance. Rafa will have to get through better hard court players like Fed, Djokovic, and Roddick and Rafa has got to be healthy, that's number one, he's got to be healthy. His knees take a beating on those hard courts, but if he's healthy he could definitely win it. He's definitely in my book to at least make the semifinals along with Fed, Djokovic, and maybe Roddick if his shoulder is better. Let's just watch the US Open Series will determine what's to come for my eyes.

  13. Even if he doesn't win this USO, there's no question that Nadal is the best player in the world right now.  I really don't see how he couldn't be considered the best.  Him pulling out of this hc tourney was a smart move.  The boy is tired and needs his rest.  I think he will most definitely make a run at this USO, probably make the finals, but  I've picked Djokovic to win this one.  However Nadal is still number 1 and my favorite player on tour.  VAMOS RAFA!!
