I think there are a lot of wonderful people who work as hard as possible. I just hope that the red tape won't be as bad this time if this happens again.

What a nightmare.

  1. my gosh my friend evacuated on Thursday...and he says people take there pets with them...

things are more organized..i love my kitties

  2. I'm praying that its better this time.  I just can't wrap my head around the fact that who would leave their pets behind. Come h**l or high water my animals are going with me even if that mean I find my own way out. Yes it was a nightmare.

  3. É verdade!!! Concordo com você, não é fácil!!! Que tristeza!!!

  4. I heard on CNN this morning that there are some shelters that will let you bring in your pets before you leave town, they will take pictures of them, microchip them for you and move them to a safe location until you can come back and retrieve them.  I hope that helps some of the poor little animals keep from being lost forever from their owners.

  5. I certainly hope so, and I really do think so!  If my employment status remains the same (I am currenlty "between jobs")  I could even volunteer.  Not exactly sure what I could do from Utah though.  I'd find a way.  I watched an episode of "the dog whisper" with Cesar Milan where he took in some Katrina dog victims.  One dog, they found his owners and delivered the dog from Los Angeles to Louisiana and it was a very emotional experience even for the audience.  What a wonderful success story.  Some of those human Katrina victims didn't realize how bad it was gonna be but I did also hear you can take the pets with you now.

  6. I cure hope so, but only time will tell.  Good luck 2u.
