If Novak Djokovic win US open 2008, he is ranked 2nd at the ATP behind Nadal? Am I right?

Since Djokovic is 3rd and Federer now 2nd, they will be in the same half board. Meaning that if Djokovic win, he would have defeated Federer in SF. So Federer would have -550 and Djokovic +300 = 850 and they are separated by 815.

However I doubt Djokovic could win! But this objective maybe can help him. The semi finals is going to be hot. Battle for the 2nd slot.

still mathematically impossible. if NOVAK performs well on the next 2 MAster Series (Madrid and Paris) and Fed did not perforrm well, then he has a very good chance to take the number 2 spots.

Yes it's possible, but once the competitions are off hard court Federer could easily win it back.
