Or at least have to do some "community service" in exchange for a ticket, like everyone else.

  1. Er, kind of think manners matter.

  2. Both of the Clinton's are Democratic Icons, the day either is not allowed into the convention is the day the democrats cease to exist.

It would be like the Republicans not letting Reagan in (if here were still alive)

  3. Captain Kirk is right.  But I would say both of them have done a lot of service to their communities already.  Obama is merely trying to enlarge the community he serves.

  4. Clinton has done more community service than Obama... so shouldnt he have to do some like everyone else?

  5. I think if Obama had his druthers, he wouldn't have invited Hillary because of the personal enmity between them. However, despite his need for her supporters, it would have been political suicide for him to not invite Hillary since her husband was the most successful democratic president in modern times.

  6. The difference between the Republican party platform and the Democratic party platform is so huge that the differences between Obama and Hillary pale in comparison.  Having two great candidates during the primary season demonstrates strength.  Hillary and Obama, and their supporters, are all on the same side.  Why would Obama reject her?
