If Obama identifies himself as black (and thats fine with me if he does)?

how come he seems to have little to no knowledge of African culture or customs? Afro-centricity is one of the major factors of American black culture.

I doubt that - as a community organizer in Illinois, he worked almost exclusively with blacks and I'll bet that on his own private time, he's got a touch of the 'hood in him.  Gobama!

Dude, I am black born and raised in America and so are most of the people I know... almost none of us have any real knowledge of real African culture and we really don't give a fck being that we are American and all. :-)

Many people identify themselves as black but does not have a vast knowledge of African culture. It's nothing new.

Remeber though, Obama's father abandoned him excluding one visit at 10. He didn't get any exposer from his Kenyan side. He was raised in Hawai'i and Indonesia so it would make since that he wouldn't know much about it since he wasn't exposed to it growing up.
