Or is it such a non issue that it wouldnt matter compared to other issues you agreed with?

Why are people making such a big deal about this with Palin? It seems like people want to make this a big deal just so they can play more politics with religion. Its not like the fed gvt sets the curriculum for the state schools.

  1. Honestly, I've already been there and done that with Obama, When he stated that he wanted to continue faith based initiatives he turned me off from this election entirely for about two weeks.  Then I considered the alternative and what would happen if McCain won the election by one vote... I'd essentially be relegating myself and my country to more economic turmoil, more unnecessary war (McCain has not been known to choose diplomacy as a first or even second option) higher gas prices (believe it or not, offshore drilling does nothing to ease gas prices, as domestic supply does not determine domestic gas price, since gas price is a product of the price of oil, which is determined internationally).  In this election, although I don't agree with some of Obama's views and policies, his benefits far outweigh his negatives, and McCain's benefits are far outweighed by his negatives.  I can't decide to sit this election out simply because of one or two minor issues.

Now, as for why I consider it a big deal for Palin, she brings nothing new to the table, she just reinforces the negatives that McCain already has.  If she had a well defined policy history that offset McCain's, then I'd say it was a good pick, but he himself says that she is just like him.  That's not what I'm looking for in a President, or VP turned President when McCain realizes the job isn't as easy on his health as he thinks it's going to be.

  2. I won't vote for Obama-regardless.

  3. anyone who can't look at a dog, a fox and a wolf and deduce that they have a common ancestor, should not be in any position of power, let alone as a us vp. if we were in europe, she would get laughed off stage saying c**p like that.

  4. Probably not. He may believe in creationism, but he knows there is a separation of church and state and abides by it.

  5. i would not support him.

  6. I would still vote for Obama.  This issue is the very least of our nation's problems.

  7. If Obama supported this I would *not* vote for him.

What we teach children in school *is* important.

Should we teach them that babies are found under cabbage leaves?

Should we teach them that leprechauns hide pots of gold at the end of a rainbow?

Should we teach them that the sun is pulled across the sky by Apollos?

If no, then why should we teach the pure unadulterated c**p put forth by creationists?

  8. Well, what's the alternative?

Obviously a sane candidate is better than someone believing in creationism, but even if they were equal on this issue, Obama would still look like a better choice.

  9. My opinion, which you've asked for, is that anyone who believes in creationism isn't fit to lead a country...

As far as Palin goes, she was a desperation choice to try to woo Hillary supporters, and it will back-fire...

Edit:  Yes, if Obama believed in creationism, I would not vote for him.  I would then go Libertarian... I hope that answers the question.

  10. Anyone that stupid should not have the vote let alone high office!

  11. He claims to be a Christian so he must be for Creation

  12. It's a big deal because it's indicative of how Palin feels about the separation of church and state.

If McCain dies (he is 72), she becomes president.

And will then have the right to nominate a Supreme Court judge if a space is vacated.

    That is a massive issue.

ETA:  Hypotheticals like that are meaningless, because if Obama supported Creationism in schools, it's likely that more than a few of his other policies would be different than they actually are.

  13. No absolutely not, I am not voting for anybody that believes in Creationism...it speaks volumes about their mindset.

Im not voting for him anyways but if I was...well you know where I'm goin with this.

    VOTE LIBERTARIAN 2008!!
