If Obama wins is Affirmitive Action off the table?

this may be the only good thing to come out of him being president...now we can hire people based on experiance instead of color.

  2. Lol, he will be the affirmative action President ;-) He will be getting the job based on color rather than experience.  And no, white people will NEVER ever be off the hook.  If there is no victimization mentality, people like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will have to get a real job.

  3. I certainly hope so.  I believe that affirmative action was an issue that meant well, but was just not good for Blacks or the country.

    We cannot legislate by treating people differently.  It only emphasizes the difference and creates resentment from others who may feel that our society treats people differently.  I believe the issue could easily have corrected societal changes had it addressed the poor, rather than just Black people and that's not even definitive either.  Many of us are part Black, White or whatever.  I think the whole issue of Affirmative Action was wrong.

  4. Though I would much appreciate it if that were to happen, Obama will only encourage Affirmative Action.  What ever happened to "All men are created equal".....???
