Question:

If Owen Hart didn't die?

How would WWE be different?

Would he have won the WWE Title?

Would Over the Edge still be a continuing pay per view?

Would he have delayed Triple H's heel push in late 1999?

I'd like to know what you think...

  1. it wouldn't really

no, he woulda won the WWF title

    probably

    no

EDIT: i don't think Owen would have been as popular as the game, Triple H would gotten a different nickname,

one thing alot of people don't realize is that Owen Hart wasn't that good of a wrestler, he was famous mostly for being Bret Hart's brother, like Chris Benoit, His Death over-shadowed his his carreer

EDIT2: he wasn't a good wrestler for his time, but he is better than alot of today wrestlers. i dont think hes was as great as people think he was. he was ok, but he was just a mid carder. think about it, he died right before an Intercontinental Title match, not a world title match.

i have been watching wrestling for almost 14 years and i have seen wrestlers that made Owen Hart look like a "nugget".

  2. It really wouldn't be.  He would've retired by now.

He would have been World Champion.

No, because of "Edge" being a Superstar.  They wouldn't use a Superstar's name like that in a PPV.

Probably not.  HHH just wouldn't have such an infamous moniker today.

  3. This is the honest truth.

Owen was a career UPPER MIDCARDER. He was NEVER main event material. It seems like just because he died, people talk him up as being bigger than he really was. He was a great wrestler, yes, but he was never WWF World title material. If Owen didn't die, I think he'd have been stuck in the same spot he always was since he broke out as a singles star in 1994...above the midcard but below the main event. WWE would be no different.

  4. Not at all!! The reason owen hart was even wrestling as the blue blazer again was because he wouldnt agree to do an angle that envoled him rapping a girl or something like that.... so because they new he hatted the blue blazer character that was his punishment...so they were in no way going to make him a man eventer!

  5. WWE made him use stupid comedy acts like the "Nugget" and "Blue Blazer" so I seriously doubt that Owen would be anymore than tag or European champion.  If he was still alive he might of been NWA/TNA champion in the early years of the company's existence instead of the never ending Planet Jarrett reign.

Over the Edge was just one of the In-Your-House PPVs which means it would eventually change its name to fit someones gimmick....i.e. Unforgiven is for Undertaker and Rock Bottom for The Rock.

  6. 1)No he would have jumped to WCW when his contract ran out, to be with his brother and brother-in-laws.

    2) No, McMahon would not have given him that push, The blue blazer gimmick was punishment for Owen refusing to do certain storylines.

3)No not the name, it made little sense when they had a wrestler called Edge (as in the "limit" of how far one can go), so it was illogical to have a PPV that underminded his gimmick.

4)No, HHH I think was already established as the future of WWE.
