...and so unqualified as many people claim in YA, then WHY aren't they HAPPY, instead of angry ?

It's simple really. If she's so BAD, Obama will win and they can give thanks that McCain picked a bad VP.

  1. Palin is a nobody

  2. I am very happy that McCain picked Palin.  McCain just handed the election to Obama.  I thinks it great.

I am not angry.  Palin isn't bad, it's just that it takes a little more than giving birth and attending PTA meetings to be qualified to run the country.

Vince, she spoke yesterday, she just had nothing to say.  VP's always matter, if something happens to the president the Vice president will become the president.

  3. people dont want McCain to stand a chance in this election. So were making sure every wall is knocked down.

  4. As my old buddy, Slick Willie Shakespeare would say, "It's much ado about nothing.'

  5. Palin Rocks!

  6. It does seem like McCain hit a nerve in those demonrats when he picked Palin.  I am real pleased with his pick.

  7. she does not matter bush defeated McSame when gas pased $3 a gallon and he finished hiim off by vetoing children's health care and the 4,0000 dead from the war and the housing fiasco  are makin for a blowout

  8. Oh we are laughing! We just like to point out McCain's hypocrisy as well.

  9. Sarah Palin is the refreshing change that American politics desperately needs.

  10. Smell the panic and the fear. They are frantic.

  11. If you get off YA and actually READ the assessment, you'll see that's EXACTLY what people are saying.

YA is dominated by about 5 or 6 die heart morons who will say anything moronic.  Go read the analyses out there - she is inexperienced, she was a horrible choice, and Democrats cannot be happier.

Get off YA and get a life.

  12. Here is the job resume for Palin:

  13. They are mad cause their Messiah just got benched!

  14. Because although Obama is much better, on the slim chance that a*****e McCain does win, I want somebody QUALIFIED, like Romney or Huckabee there when he drops dead of cancer.

  15. They are running scared!  They spoke too soon after their convention closed for the season.

  16. Very good point. They are really uncomfortable with being blindsided in my opinion.

  17. Simple put once again American taxpayer's funding is going to waste on Secret Service Protection; for someone unqualified for the Oval Office.

  18. This makes me happy.

  19. Ok, so what's your point?  She hasn't even spoken yet, and people are already making irrational conclusions about her.

How can one claim that she is the greatest thing since slice bread, if we don't even know what she stands.  Of course, the same can be said for the ones who completely despise her.  It's ridiculous...wouldn't it be fair if we just waited to give an opinion about her after the RNC?  Besides, it's not he VP that will matter in this race...or what will give momentum to McCain.  For those who actually pay attention to this election, it should be clear: McCain has to address, and fire back at, the speech Obama made the other night.  Otherwise, none of this hype about a VP pick (which is absurd, anyway) will all be for not.

  20. This country is ready for a woman in the white house in any capacity.  Condoleza Rice would be my choice for president but no one asked me.  Personally, I think McCain strengthened his ticket immeasurably.  Obama is running scared.

  21. I am just glad they aren't knocking Hillary any more. Truth is, she does have more experience than Obama and is a heck of a lot fiestier. maybe she and Michelle should meet up and discuss the elections. Still her qualifications aren't enough to make her a good candidate for the Veep. If the intention was to steal Obama's thunder, I think they did it. If it was to win the election by taking Hillary's supporters, I don't think they did it. Not all women are in fact equal.

Mike: I'm wondering since she is so far-right christian, why do the far right christians want people to have kids but don't want to help feed them or hospitalize them when their parents can't or adopt them when they do get here?

  22. they're bitter - mccain picked someone more qualified than obama and as such mccain is going to win.

  23. Well there are many Obama supporters that have given McCain thanksfor handing over the election.  Palin isn't necessarily a bad choice, but an unusual choice.  McCain only met her once prior to this year.  McCain's campaign needs to bring additional voters to his side, given that many registered republicans have switch affiliation this year.  His goal was to become more centrist to attract independents.  He's been busted pandering to Hillary Clinton supporters at the end of the Democrat Primaries, and his selection of Palin seems like another attempt.

McCain has a poor voting record when it comes to women and family issues. Palin is far right christian conservative.  This doesn't appeal to Clinton supporters.  This choice seems more like an attempt to shore up the republican base, which is curious since their convention is next week.  If  McCain still must prove to his own party that he is a republican, then there problems there.  With his focus on his own hard liners of his party, he just lost the independent voters he needed to win.

  24. That is an excellent question. I have no idea why they would be so upset by the choice of Palin as McCain's VP. I personally think McCain stole Obama's thunder with his VP announcement. It was a moment of political brilliance.

  25. They are unhappy because McCain's political tactic worked - he stole the day after the convention away from Barack and when you mess with the messiah people get angry.

  26. BECAUSE IT'S POSSIBLE HE WILL WIN AND THEN DIE LEAVING THIS KNOW-NOTHING PERSON TO BE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD.

Angry? You're d*mn right. Having the potential to become the leader of free world, one better have the credentials.

Palin not only lacks the experience, she lacks the EDUCATION!! Palin attended a 3RD TIER university (idaho) where she only minored in political science then went on to what?? FISHING!!

Meanwhile, Senator Obama (illinois) studied at Occidental going onto to a TIER 1 school, Columbia University, MAJORING in political science. After working at various organizations in LARGE cities like New York and Chicago like: Business International Corporation, New York Public Interest Research Group, then DIRECTOR of the Developing Communities Project, he went on to study at HARVARD LAW SCHOOL, again Tier 1, where he was elected PRESIDENT of the LAW REVIEW and got his Law degree.

After becoming a Lawyer, he was so sought after that he was offered a fellowship to write a book and was offered a teaching position at yet another Tier 1 school, University of Chicago where he taught CONSTITUTIONAL LAW for 12 years.

He became became the founding executive director of Public Allies Chicago. He served on the board of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago and served on the board of directors of The Joyce Foundation, Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Center for Neighborhood Technology, and the Lugenia Burns Hope Center.

Then he was elected to the Illinois Senate...then became a U.S. Senator.

While Ms. Palin was out fishing not pursuing an education further relevant to politics, history, and the constitution, and winning beauty pageants, Senator Obama was out with the big boys doing grown folks business that matter to the world.

I certainly don't want an ill educated women with a 3rd rate education making quite possibly some of the world's most important decisions that will affect the world. Her Cinderella story was made possible by the lower bell curve that is Alaska when she wouldn't have even made it to the school board in places like Chicago. Her inability to compete for entry into a higher level college indicates she was not good enough then and she's certainly not good enough now.

John McCain's decision was grossly negligent and seriously irresponsible. He questioned Obama's experience even though the man's education and resume run longer than my arms. Palin, with her lack of experience, still calls on her high school years as a point guard to pad her resume because she has no "real" experience to speak of.

This reminds me of Al Bundy, the washed up "semi celebrity" from Married With Children whose only legacy was making 4 touchdowns in one game at POLK HIGH SCHOOL.

Obama's participation as either a member of the board or Director in just one of his many, many large organizations held more weight than Palin as mayor of a town whose population is close to 5,000 or her tenure as governor of a state (Alaska) with a population of 670,000. The mayor of Fresno, California (pop. 600,000) might as well have more political influence.

Alaska and all of its problems on its worst day cannot even begin to touch the concerns of the entire world. I know a lot about my little world where I live - does that make me qualified to be VP too? HEY!! I've taken 24 units in computer science classes. I should be head of IT at Google.. Don't you think?

Her life experience does not reflect the people nor does it prepare her for the most difficult job in the world, which is the presidency. When one chooses his running mate, the VP must be able to function as president should he die.

While both Obama and Palin have no military background, Obama has a legal background. Approximately 25 of the 43 presidents in our history were lawyers. Why? BECAUSE YOU NEED TO KNOW THE LAW IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THIS GREAT COUNTRY AND HOW IT CAME TO BE. As President, one holds the ability to pardon -- how can a president make sound judgments if ill educated? AND, how about INTERNATIONAL LAW? This is very important for foreign relations. What does she know? This makes Palin unqualified. She'd have to read the Cliff's Notes versions to catch up and how well versed would she be?

    SHE WOULDN'T!!

Palin would need to go back to school for a minimum of 4 years, then gain at least 5 more years under her belt in a real organization before I would ever consider her having enough experience to affect the rest of my life. I need a president that knows far more about the constitution, especially now, and its complexities than just the 2nd amendment. (i support gun rights too) BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH.

McCain questioned Obama's lack of experience and THEN selects Palin in a desperate attempt at political gain? Who is the "FLIP-FLOPPER" now?

  27. She is not underqualified. She is more qualified than Obama. Fact.

Being a governor is much more difficult than being a senator or state legislator or neigborhood activist.

Governors have to deal with spending, deficits, economics, jobs, passing laws, etc., etc.. Governors also work 60 hour work weeks and are on call 24/7 while people in congress have summers off and don't have busy schedules.

As per the U.S. Constitution, states are setup to mimic the U.S. government.

U.S. Constitution: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion"

  28. I want both candidates to be capable, after all she still has a potential of being our VP. It shouldn't be "may the better one of the worst wins" it should be the best on both sides.

  29. Palin is more qualified to be president than Obama ever dreamed of being!

Being Mayor, then Governor is twice the experience than just occupying a senate seat. Which is all that a**hole Obama has ever done!

    Palin rocks!!!
