If Palin was picked for her "experience" then why didn't they run Lingle?

Palin is not the only female republican governor with experience. Linda Lingle has been gov for 6 years. So why did they not pick her if they needed a female with experience?

let's face facts: she was picked only because she's young and pretty and extremely right..all political reasons, not to actually lead this country.

Go figure.  You're right.  there are also several other women that would have made fine running mates.  Instead he picked one with extremely limited experience and a ton of political baggage.  I'm betting Palin is a pretty good speaker, but who knows.

Because she's not what the Republican need.

Governor Palin is the personification of Senator Obama's "bitter" comments.  Governor Lingle of Hawaii isn't even close to that.

I also doubt she can fire up the conservative base the way Senator McCain needs to.  that's politics.

Perhaps because Palin has energy policy experience and her experience was not as impressive as Palin's..
