  1. In a store I work in there is a statue of Hades and he has a two pronged spear and the three headed dog with him.  Blessed be.

  2. The first thing that occurred to me was  that he was sometimes known as Pluto, God of Wealth and that coins were often buried in the eyes of dead Greek Pagans as the toll for the boatman.

Then I did a little research and came up with this site:

    http://www.allaboutturkey.com/gods4.htm

Notice, he mentions a scepter and a key but no coins, but also mentions his other name --Dis which today we associate with h**l-- meant rich.

  3. The Greek gods do not really have symbols but are associated with different things. Check out this page:

    http://www.theriverstyx.net/hades_symbol...

It talks about different things associated with Greek gods.

  4. Hades was not a widely worshiped god, and I don't think there are any statues left, if any were made in the first place. So there was no need to look for an attribute, the most likely one would have been Hades's helm of invisibility, or the three-headed dog, to distinguish him from other gods.

  5. Invisibility.

The Greek name Haides means "unseen" or "unseeable".

  6. His attributes are a sceptre like that of Zeus and a helmet which is like the cloud cap of Siegfried in German mythology which made its wearer invisible.  His priests wore wreaths of cypress, as the cypress, narcissus and boxwood were sacred to him.

  7. a helmet I guess for hades
