No, because the damage has already been done. He can't unscrew the pooch and neither can anybody else. He ignored dire warning from very knowledgeable people. He refused to change course in Iraq until he was forced to in 2006 with the election of a democrat majority in congress.

Who are we fighting now in Iraq? Who will impose conditions?  Why...it's the democratically elected government of Iraq.

I'd think that he was dumber than I did before. I'm a liberal Democrat , and I know that it would be a terrible decision to pull our forces out so suddenly. I do, however, believe that the war in Iraq is unwinnable and that extremists will continue to hate America until we keep our hands out of their countries affairs. Our societies are totally different , and it is impossible for them to accept the fact that a country with such different ideals is attempting to change their country. We'd feel the same way if Iraq occupied the US

Of course it would..........that would lead to possible world war III. But a republican knows better than to just get up and leave a country in the state it's in. Our troops will have to be a big brother for many many years to keep the peace. At least till they have proven they are a peaceful country. But, I still think Iraq should pick up the tab now before our country is in chaos.
