If Quebec separated, what would happen to them with currency, economy, and trade issues?

I'm doing a history essay on what would happen to Quebec if they separated but can't find decent info on the subject. I need some sites that would inform me on what would happen if that ever occured Thanks:)

Jane Jacobs wrote a lovely little pamphlet on the subject: "The Question of Separatism: Quebec and the Struggle over Sovereignty"

In it, she strongly supports the idea that Quebec could be a viable state. As strong portion of her argument was the experience of Norway, which separated peacefully from Sweden in 1905. Both Norway and Quebec have small populations, significant natural resources, etc.
