Question:

If Rafa can do it four times beating Roger in Paris, why can't he do it once this Sunday in London?

Facts: Many have put Rafa as favourite to win Wimbledon this year after he won RG and Queens back to back, but:

Borg has yesterday changed his mind, giving the edge to Roger...

Many others have also skewed towards Roger as his performance peaks significantly...

And unfortunately Rafa's focus in yesterday's second set declined a little bit...

What about You, have you changed your mind too?

  1. i am sure he can do it

  2. Court surfaces.  Rafa owns on the clay in paris, but roger usually wins on the grass.  Idk why it but all of the pros have their favorites.  A lot of people think that Rafa is going to beat federer tomorrow, but im not so sure.  Anyway, its amazing what court surfaces do to a players game, isnt it?

  3. Well no one says he can't do it. Clearly he has a better chance of winning in London than Federer ever had of winning in Paris.

But it is a different surface. He is not going to blow Federer away. Federer is the 5 time champion, and Nadal has to dethrone him. He is going to have to play the match of his life. Last year Nadal played as good as he could on grass, and still lost. He needs to also hope that Federer does not bring his A game.

Reality on clay: No matter how good Federer is, Nadal is better

Reality on any other surface: If Federer plays at his best, Nadal has no chance.

  4. Dr D is right....... Nadal has to play out of his skin to win against Federer because his style of play is not lethal against Roger on Grass

  5. Nadal now learns to play well on grass. but eventhough he is good. Federer is too smart on grass and even in hardcourts

I bet if Federer plays to his true potential he will eventually win it in 3sets French open is only an hiccup for Federer but thats not an end

  6. All along it's been the media's doing and men on the tennis tour using it to boost their chances in getting closer to Federer, or using it to give them belief.  Federer has a couple losses "OOOOH HE IS DONE!!"  Very lame and quite silly!

Federer is still No.1 and the better player overall if you combine all the tournaments and surfaces.  Federer is also great on clay, but one man just gets in his way at the French Open, and that is Nadal, today's king of clay.  But remember that Nadal has improved so much on playing other surfaces and that started to show a year or two ago.  And we can see how Nadal really believes and wants to win Wimbledon because of its history and prestige.  But no matter how much is the desire, the psychological part of the game comes into play. Nadal will be looking across the net on Sunday, at the No.1 and five-time Wimbledon champion and the player who is all-surface but thrives more on the grass.  Federer should have his jitters as well, but he feels at home at Wimbledon.  A step above.  It will be a mental contest.  Best of luck to both of these true champions!

  7. He can do it. But it will be much more difficult to do it here because of Federer's history on this surface. Federer's game is made for grass and his game is best on his surface. Its not impossible, but it becomes much much more difficult

  8. why not

but Now  Nadal and Federe show very good performance.

    I cannot decide who won

but in grass court Fed is no.1

  9. i'm sure nadal can handle roger....i think....

  10. What he has done 3 times on clay against Federer he surely can do not once but many times on grass too. Problem is Rafa's game is more suitable for Clay just like Federer's is suitable for Grass. Both are learning to play on each others fav courts. What benefits Nadal is that grass courts are getting slower and slower which he prefers as a clay court player. Otherwise on grass courts of 70's he would not manage to win a set against Federer.

  11. i didnt change my mind. rafa will win.he will focus and beat that stupid roger. who said rafa cant win.he has as equal chance as roger. he so improved winning roland garros and queens back 2 back. i luuuuv rafa sooooo much

  12. My mind was always with Rafa, and no change.

    One word in answer: GRASS.

But he's gonna thrash Roger - again. No doubt.

  13. I see that coming simply because the grass plays more like clay when they play on Sunday....Many people will go for Roger but they should keep in mind that the court surface now is suitable to Rafa's game plan.....

  14. I havent changed my mind one bit. Rafa can win wimbledon and beat Roger tomorrow. This is the last comment i post about this match because its getting annoying im sick of hearing what Borg said or what Sampras thinks. Who cares !!! They all have opinions and they think Federer will win fair enough. Lets just see who the better man is tomorrow. Let the battle commence, Rafa has a very strong chance  :) Vamos Rafa xxxxxxx
